Remember my post on "to the moon Halloween?" That post I shared with you some of the Halloween collections of our friends Barry and Tammy. Well, their Christmas collections are just as fabulous! They had us over for dinner a few weeks ago (yummy!!) and afterwards I walked through their lovely home and took a few photos - (just snippets) of their amazing pieces. I know, I know....Christmas is over but I just had to share these with you. You can click on the pictures to enlarge them. Barry and Tammy display their pieces perfectly.

An old fish aquarium filled with decorations. See that little red bird lamp on the back left side? Love it!!!

Here gnomes, toadstools and a chenille pinecone Santa hang out in a darling vignette. The little cottage in the background is a gnome cottage.
Inside the built in wall cabinet is a vast collection of Christmas dishes - many of which are German. See the little walnut candle holder in the front? So cute.

I spy the cutest gnome!!
The church is an old candy holder.
Little German gift tags are displayed in place card holders. The little girl on her skies is an old Snow Babies piece.
The little Christmas trees are chenille.
Just one of many cloches in the house that hold sweet vignettes.

This cabinet is filled with old Celluloid Santas.

More snow babies displayed amongst bottle brush trees and deer.
One of my favorite pieces is this German piece of a boy on his skiis. Barry and Tammy find a lot of their collections on eBay and antique stores. Their favorite pieces are the 20's and 30's European pieces that are from Czech, Prague and Germany.

Ok...I am now on a mission for one of these little skiing boys!

Have a lovely day!

What beautiful things they have on display. The german dishes were wonderful and I love the figurines too. They really have some unusual pieces. She has a great knack in displaying her treasures too, just like you do. Thanks for sharing. Even if it is after Christmas I still love looking.

These wonderful Christmas decorations just keep going on and on, I love it and I am in love with those gnomes as gnomes and fairies are my favorites. Your home is decked out for Christmas in spades. I bet that is a lot of work putting all this out each year but so much fun to see. Thanks ever so much for sharing. Nan

Happy New Year, Becky! I'm running a few days late and having a marvelous time catching up on all the lovely pics and posts I was too busy to read during most of December.

I absolutely LOVE the framed Santa portrait, and am sitting here wishin' I'd seen it early enough to do something similar myself for 2008, and am also planning ahead for how to do it in 2009. I'm also now toying with the idea of dedicating a special wall space to a monthly/seasonal/holiday framed *something* that would get changed each month, just like turning the page on the calendar.

Thanks for the inspiration, and have a blessed 2009!

How sweet are your collections. You must have been collecting these for years. You did such a great job organizing everything, too. I love it all.
