In The Zone

P1010136 At our house we get to pretty much lay around where we want. Our usual and customary chairs and sofas have blankets down on them so we don’t soil the upholstery. Though we are house dogs, we do track in dirt on our little feet when we go outside to run around and do our “business.” Today we are zoning out…catching up on our beauty rest.

doogie 2 We had a busy, busy weekend full of guests and we are literally exhausted. All of that petting, scouring the floor for tid-bits of food that fell off of plates and running around the house chasing balls has us worn out! Needless to say, our human parent is moving slower than usual, too. doogie 8 The house smells of Christmas cookies baking and scented candles. The only sound we hear is the gentle whirring of the dishwasher. Nice and peaceful for a good snooze.

P1010060 Days like this are few and far between so we will take advantage of the serenity….that is until mom fires up the vacuum!

Mom will be sharing pics of our abode on Wednesday. But here is a glimpse of our scottie dog Christmas tree…our favorite of all six trees!

P1010099

P1010059 Our Auntie Waveny makes her own Christmas cards every year. This year she drew a feather tree that is adorned with ornaments that she has made over the years. The little scottie with red wheels is this years ornament…..we love them! You can see it on the middle of the tree, about half way down.

Till next time…

Dear Dughall and Fiona,
Wow! You have a really awesome human to give you your own Christmas tree. Lucky dogs!
We had a big party here, too, on the weekend -- and there were lots of sloppy eaters. I am still sleeping off the snacking, and all the hugging and petting.

I have too much trouble getting up on the furniture now, so Mom has nice sheepskins on the floor for me to snooze on -- and I dream of chasing lambs.

Have a really Merry Christmas -- watch out for that Sandy Paws guy! He eats people's cookies!!!
Your friend, Dion DiPoochy

Awww, that made me want to lie down and take a nap with them. So cute. I understand the exhaustion thing so very well. Hope that you get to lie down with them and take a nap yourself, Becky.

Becky you did pay them for posing didn't you? A nice doggie treat or
a even a good tasting doggie bisquit would be great pay. Oh my they really work too cheap. I love your scottie tree and that drawing of the tree with all those cute scotties on it. Wow, too cute.
Great post!!!

Love your real Scotties and your Scottie decorating.

My nephew is named Scott. He is Downs Syndrome. He is now 42 years old. Several years ago his mom & I asked him what he wanted to collect.

After pondering our question for awhile he told us Scotties. At first we did not catch on and thought he meant things about himself.

Scott then found a photo of a Scottie dog and made it very clear to us he wanted to collect Scottie dog items. To date he has an impressive collection of Scottie dog items.

He would love to have a real Scottie dog and may someday.

Happy Holidays,
Tami Hacker

Have a great Christmas!

Hi there D and F!
We've been sniffing the packages here to see if any bones or chews are wrapped up for us, but so far nothing smells worth ripping in to.

I would love to play with you, but the other dog here would probably just ignore you once he gave you a good sniff.

Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas!
