Mirror, Mirror on The Wall......

I love old mirrors! Throughout our home you will find big ones, small ones, etched, beveled, glass vanity tray mirrors, old window frames that were made into mirrors, gesso, Victorian and vintage.

Mirrors add dimension, make a room look larger, reflect items on a shelf, or make a great base for a lovely vignette.

The photo of the mirrors on the wall is from Decorating Flea Market Style magazine. You can find old mirrors like this thrifting, at flea markets and antique shops. It only takes three to make a collection!

Kim, over at Daisy Cottage, has a lovely vignette of red mirrors on her wall. She has painted all of the frames RED ~~~~~ of course I L-O-V-E it!! The color just pops and keeps the display visually pleasing and happy!

The little mirror behind the white Scotty Dog planter (given to me by Miss Kathy Sue!) is an old shaving mirror that I found for 6.00 at an antique mall. The etched mirror behind my collection of white matte pottery was 5.00 at an estate sale. So, keep your eyes out for that little bargain and have fun decorating!

Ya'll have a wonderful week! Who's the fairest one of all? YOU!!!!!!

You have such wonderful treasures. I love your mirrors~all of them. Is the hand mirror on the plate a small one? It looks like it is resting on a saucer plate. I noticed the vintage thread spool with the photo around it. I love that idea. Are those family photos or did you buy it that way? Your Scottie looks adorable with the posies tucked in the back.

Yeah! This is the article that I saw that inspired me too! As you may know, I have a post showing the vintage mirrors that I hung on my craft studio wall. They just don't make 'em like they used to! Love, Esther

I wouldn't want to look at myself that many times in one day, LOL!! But your display is great! And I love the Scottie.

Hello everyone! In answer to questions about this post:

Lallee: Yes, the mirror on the plate is a small mirror. The thread spool has an old picture wrapped around it and I bought it this way. Great idea for an old spool and for altered art.

Ester: I couldn't recall who is was that had already had mirrors like this hung in a grouping. It was YOU!!!! No, they don't make things like they used to....that is why I love OLD things!!

Anja: You are welcome. Your dresses are stunning!

Polly: If I could find a mirror that makes me look skinny, I would. One of the carnival ones would be great!

Thank you everyone for visiting and sharing your comments. ((HUGS)) and Best Wishes to all of you!! Keep on keeping on!
