do you wanna?

P1010020b
…be a Cowboy?
P1010024a
Or how about a Cowgirl?
P1010023b
With the reno projects nearing completion around the house, I decided to make some pillows yesterday for the shop.  Because I live near “The Cowboy Capital Of The World” (Oakdale, California), there are a lot of cowboys and cowgirls in our parts. With that in mind, I thought some “his” and “hers” pillows would be fun to make up.
The pillows are made with a burlap front and a brown and cream ticking on the back.  Fluffy feather and down inserts make the pillows nice and squishy and as plump as Santa’s belly.  (Ok, maybe not THAT plump, but you get what I mean).

I’d love to be a cowgirl!  Give me a horse, a good saddle, a picnic lunch and away I’d go!  Giddy up!  Riding into the full moon tonight, just me and my horse.
Y’all have a good day, ya hear?

Becky - Wish you could have gone with me to Canton. I went by myself so there was plenty of room going - not so much coming back with all of my stuff. HA

Love your Cowboy and Cowgirl pillows. So cute.

Miss talking to you.

The pillows turned out great, a rustic cowboy feel to them. When I was little I aspired to be a cowgirl, and rode horses.

Those are so cute! I have been a cowgirl since my first pair of red boots given to me by my Grandpa at 4 years old...even though it's more of a cowgirl spirit these days! Have a great day!!

Very adorable! I wish I could see the ticking on the back, I can see a little and I think it must be just perfect for the burlap:>) You do such beautiful work.

They're lovely! When I was a little girl, I wanted to be Dale Evans. Remember her?

Becky you so darn talented. Those are sooo cute! Wouldn't those look good on a big ticking feather bed.
You know one of those cowboy beds.
Those won't last long in your booth.

Becky the pillows are so cute!! Do you mind me asking if they are stuffed or a pillow form? If a form, where did you find it?

When the movie Toy Story came out, I became smitten with old-timey singing cowboy music. And since then, I am charmed by cowboy/girl outfits, and love the idea of going on a trail ride!
Almost makes me want to go have some coffee and beans. OK, not really. I still want a cup of Constant Comment tea and a Lorna Doone shortbread cookie.
