In our family we are big time fans of the San Francisco Giants! After watching football yesterday, I got to thinking that spring training will be here before you know it – and with that baseball season! When the SF Giants won the World Series, we attended the parade for them in SF. What a FUN day it was!!!! I don’t think people stopped smiling throughout the entire parade. My father had never been to the new ball park so for Father’s Day we took him to a game there. So much fun – but ohhhh, what a windy day it was! There is something wonderful about eating ballpark food – even though it isn’t the best food for you – but hey, gotta live it up once in awhile. Hot dogs and garlic fries – oh yum!The energy at the games is lively and Lou-Seal gets the crowd going by throwing out shirts to the crowd. She makes me laugh, especially when she dances on top of the dugouts. The following photos are of the parade. The SF Fire Department started out the parade! (I get weepy when I see a fire truck!) People were everywhere
….and
I
mean
everywhere! On top of buildings and bus stops.
There was a sea of orange and black that day! These two doggies were decked out in their orange and black! Too cute! As the team paraded past, number ONES were held as high as an arm could extend.
Thumbs up from Freddy Sanchez, too. The players were awesome and you could really tell that they appreciated their fans.
Buster Posey claps and then waves to the crowd.
My only disappointment for the day was that Brian Wilson – the crazy guy that he is – took off on foot and ran down the streets waving to his fans. I so wanted to see him in person! I wonder if the beard will still be there this season ---- kind of hoping not cause he has such a cute Irish face! So long

Looking forward to a new season!

Oh what a fun day!
I miss shopping and eating in SF more than anything we left behind when we retired to Idaho, honey. BUT there isn't a bigger fan of the SF Giants than my 32 year old granddaughter and her other grandmother. In fact, her other grandma got to throw out a ball one year because she loved them so much and never missed a game. She's about 90 now but she watches the games religiously! Grandma Dolly is how they announced her pitch that day. She'll never forget it I'm sure.
Great camera shots of the GG bridge and the bay. I love cruising the bay but usually so very cold, even in August.

i'm a braves fan but I don't care who's playing, I'll watch and cheer. We've shared some pretty good games thru the years...

Saw the sweetest tiny little stuffed black Scottie dog in a booth in our antique Mall across from the Mission Inn here in Riverside. Reminded me of you. Just the cutest thing. Wish I had bought it. It was the tiniest little thing an soft as down. Adorable.
