So today I got up early and downed three cups of coffee off the get go. It’s cold outside and I had plans of going to an estate sale, but who wants to pull themselves out from under a pile of quilts when it is so cold outside? Besides, Fiona was all snuggly warm next to me and wanted belly rubs. Sweet moments like this make me smile and want to stay home.
Instead of heading out, I thought it was best to see what other Farmhouses were out there to look at. Instead of hitting the real estate pages in Missouri, I went on Pinterest.
Let’s go on a little drive around the countryside today, via the web. You can even wear your jammies and wooly slippers if you like.
In my last post I shared that my dream farmhouse would have a picket fence… …a large porch and roses. I do think that these would suit my fancy just fine.
I even love the old French farmhouse here. Though not a white clapboard home, it exudes that cozy farm feeling. If I close my eyes, I can hear birds chirping and the sounds of cows in a pasture a stone throw away.
But wait, I hear a neighbor’s car alarm going off instead.
Enjoy your weekend!

These farmhouses are each charming in their own way, and this is a cozy way to tour them. Good idea.
A farmhouse in Lancaster Pa. Amish Country would suit me just fine :)
Sometimes "Staying Home" is the best choice by far...Have a very blessed weekend Becky...sounds like you are off to a wonderful start.
I love looking at those warm and cosy homes. Dreaming of the day when Hubby and I will move. Kim from Camp and Cottage life sent me to visit your site. Sadly we also share something else besides the love of old country homes. Please visit my blog at DanNy Boy Quilts. I have become a follower of your wonderful blog. Thank you
Thank you for the farmhouse tour. I also dream of owning a farmhouse one day. These houses are just charming and they make me smile ;-)
Oh those people who don't put up curtains and light the whole house...love them! ☺
Oh...I love a drive through the country! Thank you for letting me stay in my jammies. I'll take any of them that have a huge porch!
Lovely homes!

That was fun - and I'm always a goner for any sort of Cape Cod or story and a half house!
Becky
I could live in any one of these farmhouses. I can't even choose a favorite. Thanks for the tour.
I would love to have a farmhouse with a picket fence myself!

I feel your pain about getting out of bed when it's so cold outside. It was freezing cold and rainy here today, but I managed to drag myself out and run some errands. I'm glad you stayed in so that we could share in your farmhouse love! Let's go in halvsies and get a huge farm where we can both have big farmhouses?! ;)
Kat :)
Oh Wow Becky - what a fun tour - this post and last....But, gotta say - those aren't like any farmhouse I grew up in! Love, love the porches....Wishing you a bliss-filled weekend....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
Gorgeous homes! Don't you just love Pinterest?! I spend waaaay to much time there but I have learned so much. Have a great weekend, Nan
I, too, dream of living in a farmhouse, preferably with a white picket fence and wrap around porch! These pictures are wonderful...I could move right into any of the homes!

Beautiful houses !! I love the one with the cream and white garden, it looks wonderful.
Have a great day.
I would take any one of these beauties! Would you look at the barns with some of these? My dream studio space, complete with studio cat, and maybe a bank of multipaned windows to fill it with light. I might never leave home again.
How cold is cold in California? We are expecting weather in the 40's here in Michigan this week! A rare occurance in January, we consider that balmy:>)
