God Gives Free Refills

P1010039k

    Whenever I get down in the dumps and basically feel like the zip has been taken out of my do-dah, I talk to God. I ask Him to sustain me - to give me strength and revitalize my spirit. Whenever that parched & thirsty feeling sets in I pray for sustanence & He refills my cup - and for FREE! How cool is that? He will fill it to the rim, too! The beauty of His promise of love and forgiveness is that it is FREE - free for the asking - free, free, freeeeeeee!! Even though a Starbucks can break the budget, God will fill our cups for nothing....all that He wants back is for us to love Him and to believe.

    Man, I am craving a glass of ice water!

    Fill 'er up, Lord! Fill 'er up!

    May YOUR cup runneth over!

    xoxo

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Let me share this with you...a song written and composed by Richard Blanshard. I love the lyrics and the message.....
    Like the woman at the well I was seeking
    For things that could not satisfy:
    And then I heard my Savior speaking:
    “Draw from my well that never shall run dry”.
    Chorus
    Fill my cup Lord,
    I lift it up, Lord!
    Come and quench this thirsting of my soul;
    Bread of heaven, Feed me till I want no more
    Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole!
    There are millions in this world who are craving
    The pleasures earthly things afford;
    But none can match the wondrous treasure
    That I find in Jesus Christ my Lord.
    Chorus
    Fill my cup Lord,
    I lift it up, Lord!
    Come and quench this thirsting of my soul;
    Bread of heaven, Feed me till I want no more
    Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole!
I LOVE that song. I remember when I first came to know the Lord, they used to sing that song in church. Bread of Heaven, feed me till I want no more.......fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole.
What a wonderful inspiring post. I often wonder how those without God's love make it through life's journey. Many times I've prayed a similat prayer and he always answer. Sometimes in very unexpected ways.
Thanks for the lovely song.
Thank you. I sang the song to myself sitting here at lunch. We use to sing that in church many years ago and I remember it well. (And I need to remember the thought everyday)! Lori
Just the perfect post. :) Becky, it's a small thing but I listen to KLOVE Christian radio pretty often. I love it in the mornings when I'm driving to school. It refreshes me and perks me up. I always find myself saying, "Good Morning God."
Only HE can quench the thristing of our souls. He offers living water, so much that it runs over and waters those around us. Some just splashed on me from you dear Becky : )
