Ok....Ok....

there are just some things that I cannot part with........
like this little bench I painted and covered in old blue pillow ticking. I spoke of it here.

I tagged it (see, it is still on the leg), and took it into the shop where I have a little space that I sell vintage and antique items at.

A dear and sweet friend of mine told me that I should (no- more like MUST!!!!) keep it and to go get it and bring it home.

I told her that a girl just cannot keep everything but she insisted that I do so. She is like a big sister to me....so I listened...........and the bench is home...........

for now. :)

Becky, we had a yard sale last week and several people wondered out loud about why I would be letting go of such wonderful things. Like you said, you can't keep everything. My friend Suzy said it best though, it gives us more space to find new treasures.

I can see why you'd want to keep it! It's hard to part with things that you love or make you feel that "something special".

She's right. The little stool has a timeless nature to it that can fit in with any decor. There are some things that are just precious and worth keeping. Good antiques, good recipes, good books and good friends!

It is a keeper, especially since you put your own stamp on it!

Fixing up old furniture is a lot of fun for me. The hunt for it is even better! :-)

Have a great week Becky!

It is hard to part with special things...sometimes I regret it later so I decided to think twice - sometimes things go and then some I keep...I think I would have kept the bench!!!

You can't keep it all, but I'd keep that bench. One (or more) of the Scotties would lay claim to it for looking out the window.

I'm thinking we've got one in storage that just might have to come out and get a face lift.

Good call,
Lynn

When I took one look at the bench and tag (before I started reading). I thought for sure you were going to show a new purchase. It was meant to stay in your home. Especially since it has that just bought look. ;D
Sometimes it takes a big sis friend to remind us of the little treasures worth keeping.

Sweet wishes,
Sara
