Meet Little Miss Fiona Jordyn...

...our little Wheaten Scotty Dog and the
newest member to our little home.
Sweet black eyes and a black button nose.
This little creature of God brings us smiles and gives us tons of
puppy kisses. Nothing beats the smell of a puppy's breath.
A little bundle of joy.

We picked her out at Christmas and now have her home. Jordan
told us that she looked like an antique teddy bear and thought she
was the perfect dog for us....and he was right!

Now what is Mr. Duhgall thinking about all of this? Well, at first he was a bit
aloof about having another dog in the house, however I think he is quite fond
of her. Shh...don't tell him I said this, but he likes being chased by her and allows
her to tug on his beard. They will soon be the best of friends. This I can tell.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I cannot end this post without thanking you all - again - for your prayers said in our behalf.
Blogging has been on the back burner for me and I have even contemplated closing the blog. BUT, you are all an extension of my life and a part of me cannot shut this door. It would be like losing someone again. So for now I continue to move forward in little baby steps. Our pastor said our life would be a "different normal" now. Yes, so true. I have always told my children that tomorrow is never promised to anyone and to be thankful for the time we have on earth. Each day is a gift. Treasure it. Savor it. Breathe.
The air breathes upon us here most sweetly. -- Wm. Shakespeare
Heaven is just a stepping stone away. Faith pulls me forward.
Dear Becky,
As someone who has gone through this,if I can be of ANY help to you at all, I would be so glad.
I hope you will get some counseling; just so you know that some of the strange things that happen to you are a normal part of grief...I used to end up, standing in the store, with no idea what I had come to get...or be somewhere and suddenly, I was crying again.
I know the Lord is very close to the brokenhearted.
What a sweet precious puppy! I hope that she can bring you some solace during those difficult times ahead!
I just recently stumbled upon your blog and was shocked and saddened to learn of the loss of your son. Please accept my condolences.
I was especially touched by the photo tribute you did for your son as I am the wife of a fire fighter and mother of a 2-year old boy. I was moved to tears by the pictures of him "mowing" the lawn and playing with the garden hose; memories you will forever cherish!
Thank you for raising such a fine young man who served our country and protected our freedom.
What an adorable little scottie! I love the wheaten scotties and think it would be wonderful to have black and "white" scotties. I have a black scottie named John Calvin Riley (a true Presbyterian). Because He Lives
(lyrics:Bill Gaither)
God sent His son, they called Him, Jesus;
He came to love, heal and forgive;
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives!
How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride and joy he gives;
But greater still the calm assurance:
This child can face uncertain days because He Lives!
And then one day, I'll cross the river,
I'll fight life's final war with pain;
And then, as death gives way to vict'ry,
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives!
Chorus
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!
