5 Reasons

Ever find something at a store and just have to have it? I had to have this piece and found it at my friend Marsha's shop (Laura Bells Antiques) and treated myself with my Mother's Day money. I justify my purchase by giving myself five reasons why I have to have it. If I come up with five, then home it goes.
1. love Victorian criss cross frames....
2. This looks like a wet Scottish Terrier....well, sort of...
3. Love photos of children and dogs.....
4. These remind me of my boys - especially the one on the left and the curly haired sweetie in the middle....
5. ...and lastly, check out the pants on the middle guy! Click to enlarge. Hysterical!! No need to drop the drawers to go to the potty!! Ok, there are five reasons, so Marsha - bag it up!

Hope all of my sweet friends have a lovely new week.

Ta ta!

Oh my gosh! Those pants, lets hope the front isn't similarly easy to use for pottying!

What a darling photo of the little swimmers! I suppose mamma didn't want to dress them in their best to get wet, lol! Your blog is beautiful. Love all the scottie goodies...now I must go check out all of the cottages! (Thank you for leading me here Lallee!)

Stein Mart has some really nice pictures of scotties in "vintage looking" frames. Cheap. Check them out.

Okay ... so I thought there was an anchor embroidered on the pants before I enlarged them.

What a treat the reality turned out to be!

Thanks for your comments.

Okay, I love the five reasons. I have a theory that my SIL taught me. She said when you find something you think you want, look at the price and say it's $20, say to yourself do I $20 love it and if you say, hmmmm I $12 love it, then put it down and walk away. Have a great week Becky.

Hugs,
LeAnn:)

Hi Becky,
Oh my goodness! How cute is that! It sure did make me laugh. What an adorable picture. I'm glad you were able to think up 5 very good reasons to buy it. I think I'll try that trick next time I find something. Though I have the feeling my answers will all be, "Because I like it, because I like it, because I like it, etc"
Patricia :o) LOL

Hi Becky,
This is a great idea, I will now use the 5 reasons when I buy something, maybe it will cut down on my compulsive chair buying!

The five reasons rule is a good one to go buy. I think I'll try it out myself!

Reason number 5 would have clinched it for me. It would have made me laugh over and over for a very long time! Add me to Mary who said she thought it was an anchor embroidered on the back until I went to the larger pic!

Don't know quite what to make of the pants on the middle guy, but a cute print nevertheless! I still haven't stumbled across one of these frames, I can see why you are attracted to them. x
