A Is For Apron and B Is For Buntings

Ahhh...a new "must have" sewing book! Yup, more than five reasons to have this one! I have been wanting to make aprons for quite some time now and believe me, there is plenty of inspiration with each turn of the page. I recently picked it up at Barnes and Noble and even got a deal at 20% off!
Below are some new fabrics to use...

How cute is this yellow one?
And check out the pleated waist band!
Ok, now who does this cherry one remind you of? Anyone we know?
Flirty and oh-so-feminine!
This one looks like a summer dress.
Good oldies but goodies.
Aprons of our past. Now ladies, I do believe we have come a long way!
And speaking of projects....
I've been seeing a lot of Mr. Janome lately...you know...my sewing machine. He has been working overtime filling orders for buntings and I will be adding some to my ETSY here soon.

Wishing all of you a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend!

Hi Becky!
I can't wait to see what you create. I love aprons, especially the full ones. I'm pretty messy when I cook, so I need to cover up as much as possible. Love the beautiful fabric, too!

Thank you so much for leaving a comment on my blog. What a coincidence that you have posted about aprons. I bought a gorgeous pattern on Friday and plan to make an apron soon and blog about it as it'll be my first. The book looks fab: if my make goes well, I'll be trying to get hold of a copy!

Your "apron book" had to have been screeming your name from the shelves of Barnes and Noble!!! Love the fabrics in the picture. I know you're going to make some really cute things.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend Becky.

Oh my gosh I'm absolutely in love with your pink & rose pennant buntings! So so pretty! Will have to think about if I can afford one.
I was just very lucky to get a beautiful fabric pennant garland from a swap with my friend Anita from My country cottage garden blog, but seeing yours I want it too. Love your fabrics and the pretty scalloped edges.
Best wishes from Germany sends

I grew up in Modesto and still dream of being there. I’m sixty but I remember when they built McHenry Village

I have many friends still living in Modesto/. One of my favorite neighbor hoods is the one with the homes across from and easterly from Graceda Park
My mom went to school with George Lucas's father I knew him too and he was a very happy always smiling and always with a funny joke,

Your pictures are great. Please post more
