Looking back through some old pictures as I decorate the kitchen for Christmas. The little kitchen tree is up, but I am missing the silver plate that once was. Some pieces have been sold off, but I do have a few of them left. I think I will try to find them and put things back as close to how they use to be. Maybe even add a pretty candle stick, too. Changes are good, right?
Getting ready for the holidays

Love that winter white, it's to be my theme too this year now that DH and I are on our own. My daughter is taking a lot of the kitsch and colourful decs for her new house as they have young children. Can't wait to get started now
ReplyDeleteLovely Miss Becky~
ReplyDeleteThe embroidery of the little farmhouse is so charming. Love those thick stitches for the snow- laden roof. It must be hard to keep stock of your "inventory." You have given me a good idea for my old beat-up silver tray.
ReplyDeleteI have only recently begun to appreciate the simplicity and serenity of silver and white in winter. Yes, change is good, and I love your pretty colors:>)
ReplyDeleteI corral all my kitchen clutter on these vintage silver trays. Ironstone is always the most amazing compliment...these are beautiful...smiles...Renee
ReplyDeleteThose photos are just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteJust dreamy looking...love the winter white and silver look. Thanks for coming to visit my blog! Can't wait to see your Christmas decor for some inspiration. Whenever I see Scotties, I think of you! (I am doggie lover, too!) Hugs, Ann

ReplyDeleteThis white has been a dream of mine...I look at this and it looks so pristeen.
Then I think would I miss my colors? I think I would...so I will wait...and maybe someday try this....lol

ReplyDeleteThe whites are lovely.
I had to chuckle. I change my decor too, then when I look at old photos I realize how nice it looked and sometimes decide to change it back too.
Have fun decorating!
It's funny you should post about this, I was just looking at old Christmas pictures and I was wondering where some things were too! Hahahaha....hmmm...how do we misplace things when they are supposedly packed away or put away...
ReplyDeleteI did however find one of my good bowls that I decorate with outside near our barn. Hubby was using it to feed chickens that had gotten out of the coop, and he was trying to catch them by putting feed out...in MY BOWL! Big smile..oh well.
Have a blessed week.
Debbie

What pretty Winter whites. The nice think about white is that you aren't in such a hurry to take things down after Christmas either, because the decor usually works well into the new year.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Marcia
