Ok, would you agree with me that a girl just cannot have enough pillows to decorate with? Great! So glad that you AGREE with me! They add texture, whimsy, color and really personalize a space.
For quite some time, I have admired the burlap pillows in specialty shops and online. So I decided to whip some up (above) and had fun in the process.
Some other pillows I have sewn are The Daily Bread pillows and the little LOVE pillows.
These sweet vintage Wilendur Tablecloth pillows sit on my dining room chairs. These were made by the wonderful Miss Amy (So Into Vintage Blog).
Pillows get moved from inside and out. I like to have a comfy little pillow in an outside chair to rest the back on. And they just look cute and add color to a boring chair. Just have to keep the cat off of them!!
And if you remember the post about the precious Scottie Dog pillow sent to me by my friend, Judy Clark, you will be happy to know that JUDY is now selling her beautiful handmade pillows on ETSY. The pillows below are made by Judy and available for purchase. Just click on the photo to link you to her shop.
I adore this burlap heart pillow! Lots of texture with the scrabble tiles and the hand sewn beading on the vintage lace. It is all about the details, like the vintage button sewn in the middle of the puffy heart in her Welcome pillow below.
The French Number pillows are fun and the little cherry pillow just says HAPPY and welcome springtime to me.
Judy’s sewing skills are impeccable, too! You will just love her pillows!
Judy’s etsy shop is called 20northora, which is the address of the home that she grew up in. Isn’t that just sweet?
So let’s talk pillows. Do you like to decorate with them and, if so, what are some of your favorites and where do you find them?
happy weekend everyone……
Wow, I love the pillows. What creativity. Will go right now to check her shop out. Thanks. Have a good week-end.

They are wonderful pillows Becky...what talent you have....blessings dear friend...
ReplyDeleteThose pillows are so adorable. I would like to try making the burlap heart one with the lace. I have some lace that my Mom made that would looked beautiful on a pillow. If you read my earlier blogs you will read that I do not know my Mom because she died when I was a year and a half old. So this lace is very special.
ReplyDeleteI am giving thanks to the Lord for making creative people {like you} to bring glory to his name!!! Those pillows are all so beautiful. In heaven I will be a wonderful seamstress!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!!!!! And I love your table!
ReplyDeleteBecky I have a vintage pillow with flowers on it a lot like yours. I
ReplyDeletelove pillows and when I get tired
of one kind I just make another cover to go on it. Love your pillows, they are sooo cute. You are just way too creative for your britches.

Good Morning, Becky,
ReplyDeleteI just love your display of pillows...I too have so many on our couch, that guests have to move a few in order to sit down! I must post pictures someday.
Now Burlap pillows...I'm liking that idea...so fun!!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. ~Natalie
LOVE the "Daily Bread" pillow!!!
ReplyDeletem ^..^
Love them all! I know I'm selfish, but on my porch, I have 2 cats and one dog that want to sit on the chairs if there are pillows. Can't figure out how to keep them from doing that, and I don't want to share with them. They look so pretty on your chairs!
ReplyDeleteI do love lots of pillows and yours are adorable. Especially love the cherry one. Mimi
ReplyDeleteI love all of your pillows. I am in love with the pillows made from vintage tablecloths but I hate cutting my tablecloths even if they do have holes. I bought some squares already cut from a tablecloth last week though and I am going to make a few new pillows.
ReplyDeleteOh I love pillows too Becky! Your look so pretty in the garden! I was thinking about making some oilcloth ones for outside! Kinda neat, don't ya think?! Hope you are enjoying our CA days. We are so spoiled!
ReplyDeleteLove ya dear,
Maryjane
Every pillow looks cute and lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love pillows. I am constantly changing them out on the sofas, beds, chairs, anywhere there is a place to put pillows. I move them in and out also. It is so fun to change things around! Thanks for the clue on Judy Clark's pillows.
ReplyDeleteMiss B - thank you for the shout out! I am honored to be mentioned with all these other beautiful pillow-makers and if I remember correctly, you and I 'met' over a pillow. Your market pillows are especially *beautiful!* -- thanks for sharing. xo -amy
ReplyDeleteVery pretty post. You know how I love pillows!
ReplyDeleteoh how i adore your sewing skills, those red and white cross stitch pillows are just what i like but i'm lousy at machine sewing so i couldn't even try the quilting.
ReplyDeleteOh my! I ADORE the pillows you made...do you sell them anywhere? You should:)
ReplyDeleteI just today did a post on pillows from Etsy...I ♥ pretty pillows! xo
