Yesterday I was looking back through old photos of the Christmas decorations from the past five years. Funny how a photo will remind me that “Oops, I forgot to get out that Santa or use that tree topper this year." But hey, it is fun to change it all up a bit from year to year – and maybe add a new favorite piece to the collections. Last year I got rid of a lot of old decorations but kept those that are my favorites, like the sweet vintage Christmas pieces and my glitter Santas.
The house has taken on a bit of change over the past year and a half. The once hodgepodge sitting room is now the formal dining room – which happens to be one of my favorite rooms in the house.
So come along for a little photo journey of Christmas’ past…..
So how will I decorate this year?
No matter the year, the house always feel warmer and cozier all decked out in Christmas fluff. Having family and friends over makes it even better!
What do you think, Duhgall?
"Don’t forget the Scottie tree, Maw!!"
Happy Decorating everyone!
Oh, I remember you have a wonderful collection of pixies! I have a few now...but I'm always on the lookout for them! They are my favorite and look so sweet with your Santas! Enjoy your day! ♥

Love all your vintage Christmas wonderful-ness! Thanks for sharing with us. Can't wait to see what you do this year!
ReplyDeleteLove your collections. Your elves look like "The Elf on a shelf." My grandchildren have started that as a tradition.
ReplyDeleteI just pulled all the decorations down from the attic yesterday, I feel the need for a change of sorts. I'm feeling a bit uninspired this year. I have a few garlands and lights up. I can't wait to see what you do this year. Maybe blogland will inspire me.
ReplyDeleteAbsloutely lovely!

It's fun to look back at what we did in years past - sometimes there's inspiration there too.
ReplyDeleteLoving those Santas and elves! So sweet! And look at you my cute friend! However you decorate this year, have much fun doing so!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Rebecca
I hope that is not the stuff you got rid of. It was wonderful. I remember having those elves when we were growing up. I need to find some for my own house. Can't wait to see the 'scotty' tree. I did a tartan dining room last night. A few scotties would make it perfect. I will have to look for some. I agree, Christmas is a wonderful warm time. Lori L
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and music too! You have inspired me to get off this chair to finish my own decorating outside before it gets dark. Brr....

I love all your collections and your pictures, but the best picture of all is that one of Mr. Dugall with his head titled to the side. You have the sweetest puppies. I like to see Fiona too! Your Christmas decorations are beautiful but nothing can top those sweet puppies.

Oh, Becky, I love your decorating through the years, very much. And I think your elves are pretty cute, but you, you are even cuter! Such a sweet photo of you there at the end! And of course, Dughall, he just makes your house the home it is.

Hi there!
ReplyDeleteHaven't been here for a visit in awhile. Time flies when you are having fun! Wanted to come by and wish you happy holidays. I like to decorate just as you do. I love the white and silver, and of course pink! But I so love the traditional Christmas colors too! Love all of your cute elves. I had seen on someone's blog, a vintage apron, with one of those elves tucked in the pocket. Now, I am on the hunt for one. So much inspiration out there in blog land.
Glad all is well with you, and thanks for sharing your lovely pictures. Dughall is just too cute in that picture.
Hugs,
Debbie from NJ
Beautiful and inspiring. You have the perfect touch in your home. So cozy, so inviting. I even came away with a decorating idea... use those old coat hooks on the sides of a window instead of a curtain rod, and string 'whatever' accross the window, or, lay a rod on the bottom hook. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteBecky,
ReplyDeleteYour home always looks so beautiful. You have so much talent and are an inspiration to many. Off to find my Santas!
Janet
You certainly have a lot of Christmas collectibles. I can tell you have been at this for years. Especially love the small display cabinet on the wall with all of the vintage ceramics in it. Very sweet.
ReplyDeleteI love your pixies!! I really do love everything you have such a talent you know:)Elma

BUT the most beautiful image of all is the one of YOU.
Made my day.
Love you,
