the magic cottage

magic cottage

Ever have days like this?

….and a dust cloth was slapping her in the head….

the nerve!

If only our house could clean itself….

now that would be a JOY!

I wish my house would clean itself for sure! Or that I could be like Bewitched and just wiggle my nose or Jeannie and fold my arms....it doesn't work, I've tried it!

"A house that would clean itself"--oh that WOULD be marvelous!! ;-)

It was so wonderful to meet you last week, Becky, and I just wanted you to know I posted about it on my blog today.
I told Sandi that I hope maybe someday you and she could come up here for 'tea'!!
I hope we'll meet again..
Blessings and hugs,
Myrna

I'd go for a self-cleaning house - if I could find things again after they were put away!!

....the garden weed itself, and Rosie groom herself, and the laundry do itself....I could really get into this!

Yes, that wouldn't definitely be a joy!

Have a great day Becky!

The timing of this is perfect! I was just cleaning the kitchen and I sat down for a little breather. I thought I'd catch up on what all my favorite blogger girlies were up to. Little did I know, this whole time you were taking pictures of me in through the window!!

God Bless Ya,
Heather

I wish my house would clean itself too! It doesn't cooperate very well. When I clean it, my house refuses to stay clean! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Wouldn't it though? I wish the dust would just evaporate. Gives me a dust headache every time I clean house.

I'll take a slap in the head any day, if then my house would snap it's self into shape!

I use to say I would have a house
like the Jetson's (cartoons) and
I would push a button and it would
clean itself. I'm still hunting the button. I have to dust today,
vacuumed and mopped yesterday. I
can remember when I used to do all
in one day. If only I wouldn't get
sidetracked playing (changing things around). But I so enjoy all
my good stuff.":O)

Ah, the fantasy of a self cleaning house spans generations doesn't it? If we can send a man to the moon....yes, I've had days like that!

Hi Becky,
After the cleaning fairy is done at your house please send her over to mine! I think dusting is what takes me the longest time... to much stuff LOL..
Wow! your German pancakes look so yummy! I have been drooling for pancakes..with lots of syrup. When Gary gets home from travel I think I will make some...
Have a sweet day and don't work to hard..
Love ya, Big hugs~Elizabeth

I used to be so obsessed with cleaning my house but now that I'm older I don't mind a dust bunny or two, or three! LOL

Yes, a house that could clean itself.....that would be wonderful.

Good Morning,
Oh...I wish! I've been cleaning like crazy this week. Hubby is having a big birthday...thus, a big party. And the trouble is...that the rooms that I did first...need to be done again!! Yikes!!!

Thanks for visiting my blog. You are welcome back anytime. Have a thoughtful Thursday. ~Natalie

Things tend to look better if I don't wear my glasses. Not cleaner but better... BTW - you sure have some cute things in your etsy shop!

OOOH those cursed weeds and dust!!! But on the + side dusting can be sorta fun. Take a trip down memory lane as you handle your vintage treasures and perhaps even imagine or fantasize their past lives. Any distraction is welcome here, as I am dusting a museum.

Mine certainly needs it after all the heat and humidity we have had this summer. I have had no energy to clean, guess fall cleaning will be big this year!

Oh, my. I stumbled upon your blog and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Irene from the Magic Cottage. My mother used to read this story to me when I was little and then to my girls when they were young! What a joy to see this on your blog. Love your dogs, too!!

My Dad used to read me "The Magic Cottage" and years ago the book dissapeared. I have been trying to find one ever since. Can you tell me the author's name? I would really appreciate any information you have. Thank you! ~Alison <><
