Sweet little cottages......
...tucked in here and there...
.....are actually old incense burners. There is a place in the back for the incense to burn and the smoke goes up the chimney. They are just so cute!
Somebody spent hours making this little needlepoint of a cottage.

I love it, even with the missing threads.
This sweet old English cottage is a doorstop. Framed is a sweet poem that was my Grandma Katy's. It is titled God's Garden and reminds me so much of her as she grew violets in her kitchen. If you click on the photo, you will be able to read it.
Wishing you a SWEET day!
After I finished this post I found that Suzanne is hosting a Vintage Thingie Thursday. What fun! So stop on over to see what other vintage goodies others are sharing.

Hello! I'm with you on the cottage loving! The last one is my favorite - reminds me of a Mary Engelbreit type.

I love your foot stool. I have one with a beautiful bouquet on a rose ground. They are becoming my next obsession I believe. Love the cottages too.
Welcome to Vintage Thingies Thursday...what a charming post...I love the little Scottie dog in the pictures too.
Can you believe this year is half over?
Have a great VTT!
I love little cottages, I have a cottage teapot from Earls grandmother, a little cottage butter dish from a yard sale and some pictures. I can remember as a little girl thinking my dream home would be a little stone cottage with an English garden. I love your collections:>)
Lovely little cottages. I spotted a few cute little Scotties too!

I love each and every one of your cottages! And that poem sounds very familiar to me. I know I've heard it before somewhere, but I jotted it down to save. I've been reading your lovely blog for quite a while now! I've only commented once or twice...I mostly lurk!
You have some adorable little cottages. Love them all. Mimi
I love your sweet cottage touches, especially the doorstop and your Grandmothers Garden Poem! Grandmothers treasures sure can pull at ones heart-strings!

Your own cottage is my favorite of all. Thanks for sharing your treasures.
What a fun needle point! I just found your blog and just love it. I also am a scottish terrier lover. We lost our little Katie eleven years ago and have had a little Westie named Paisley! We are looking for a new scotty puppy.
Incense burners... I forgot all about those! Anything cottage is endearing.
Great photos and stories!
I love the needlepoint, too.
We live at the 'cottage' in My Muskoka.
What cute cottages! That needlepoint is gorgeous.
I always love seeing any of your cottages. You have the best collection!!! Now I must go click on the picture and read your grandmother's poem.
Have a great Saturday!

We have a bit of a cottage collection too. I have trouble passing them up when I find them in pictures and as tea pots. Great show and tell.
♥, Susan
Absolutely precious!
I love the Scottie too!
I've never before seen such cute incense burners! I don't like incense much, but I'd like it burned in those cottages! Thanks for stopping by to see my French bird pillows nesting in my customer's home!
These cottages are so beautiful. I love the second photo.
