I'd Like To Introduce You To Miss Jean and Lovie

We have a new lovely blogging friend that I'd like to take this time to introduce you to. Above is Miss Jean, and you can visit her charming new blog (In The Garden With Miss Jean) here.
It is a rather convuluted story on how we met, but it was because of blogging and Kevin Bacon's rule of 7 that we happened to meet. You know, someone gets to talking to somebody else and you discover that you or the other person knows somebody you know. But anywho, Miss Jean (as so many of her friends affectionately call her) came over last week and I gave her the Blogging 101 tutorial. We didn't get a whole lot accomplished because we were too busy visiting and sharing stories about ourselves. Then there was Duhgall - he fell head over heals for Miss Jean, who loves Scottish Terriers and had a lovely and sweet little Scotty for years and years. She and her husband are looking to get another baby soon - but I will leave that up to her to divuldge the details to all of you.
This past Friday Miss Jean invited Duhgall and myself over to her charming home. She made me a beautiful lunch and tea and served it on her red transferware dishes. I felt like a Queen! I also was treated to a wonderful tour of her home and I am having some serious sewing room envy. Ok, I know that we are not to covet our neighbor's things, but I have some serious coveting going on here. Keep reading her blog and you will see why. After drooling over her Scotty collections, her sewing room, her enormouslygiganticus stash of fabrics, we got on with setting up her blog. Miss Jean took copious notes and was a very good student! She now has her bloggidy up and running and is on the road to meeting lots of new friends and enjoying the wonderful ladies out there in our blogging community. So please, take a moment and visit her. For those of you who love to quilt, Miss Jean will surely inspire you with her work and her love of quiting and all things Scotty. So WELCOME, my friend, and enjoy!

Ok, now on to Lovie. She is my Valentine's Day doll that I just finished. I am going to be sending her to a sweet friend this week. She, like Matilda, is my own design and was lots of fun to make.

Here are the girls - visiting before Lovie goes to her new home.

Lovie sports pink polka dots rather well. Her little apron has a heart pocket for stashing little love notes in. I cannot divuldge who Lovie is going to, but I know she will be meeting lots of other little friends whilst at her new home.

I have to remember that some of the blogs don't roll to the new month automatically. I didn't realize you had two Feb. posts.

I LOVE Lovie. You need to start making more of your dolls. They are just so special.

I'm going to head over and say "hello" to Miss Jean!

The apron has a little pocket for love notes? How cute!

By the way, after reading your last post, I then had a dream one night later that I got a little wheaten scotty dog!! I was laughing delightedly in the dream.

Here's the clincher- I had a dream about a dog making me laugh just days before we got our beloved wheaten terrier-mix, Harry(over five years ago)!! So maybe I'm going to find a little wheaten scotty to add in to our family!!!!!!

Hi there Becky! I thought it was high time I got caught up with you once again. I get too busy and blogging gets put aside for a while. I am working on lots of projects and a new tutorial. You can see two of the other projects on my blog.

You are just such a sweetheart with helping Miss Jean start up her blog. I will be going over to have a look soon.

Lovie is amazing! You have a special gift for making these dolls which is coming out. She looks so happy visiting with Matilda and I am sure she will be very happy when she reaches her new home.

Meow to Doogs from Dagi. Kitty kisses!
