Sweet Treats From Sweet Friends!

Before I get started, here is the "Weekend Funnies." I try to have a new one to put on my sidebar for the weekend. This is this week's. Who doesn't love Gladys? She is a hoot and a holler! Ok, now on with my post.....

Ding dong....ding dong....Doogie, who was at the door?

"It was the mail lady, mom ...look, she is already down the street!" I'd show you the packages, however I lost the picture of them. There were three boxes waiting for me on the porch! Oh goodie!!!! Doogs, come inside so we can open them!

I will save you with the unveiling, as I am toooooo excited about what is inside the boxes! Look at this adorable crocheted pincushion from Miss Esther Sunday (aka: Miss Esther Fancy Pants..as I call her). Esther surprised me with this sweet pincushion, however I kinda had a clue when she asked me what colors I wanted. ;) Esther, I love it so very much and it is just perfect in my house! It will also make a nice little chair for a dolly!
Check out the details...oh, don't sit down as you may be stuck by a pin or two. Look at the little crocheted doily on the back! Too cute!

For those of you who have never met Esther, you can find her lovely blog here. It is full of love, laughter (hold on to your bladder laughter) and whimsy. Esther is also making her sweet treats to buy!! Please tootle over and pay a visit to this sweet and charming woman!!!

Oh, lookie here! Who is that little Cowboy sitting on Esther's chair? I reckon he is making himself at home. Oh what did I hear? Shh...listen, I think he is talking..."I am taking a break from all of the hard work I did for Santa this year. And let me introduce the rest of the bunch here...."
There is Spunky, Jail Bait, Sam, Tinker, Tiny, and Rooty (next to me) and of course, I am Elmer Fudbutter.
Smile guys!
Now aren't they the cutest little fellers?
"Rooty, you are crowding me! Scootch your little bum aside!"

All SEVEN of these elves were sent to me by my sweet friend, Chris, who is a faithful blog reader and soon to have her own blog!!! Chris read my post about my vintage elves and saw these guys at an antique store and bought them for me. I had nooo idea either! What a sweet and happy treat to open the box to see these smiling faces peeking through. Chris, you are a sweet - Yand I love these! I will always think of you whenever I see them! Thank you, my sweet friend!

....But WAIT! There's MORE! (use the Billy voice!)

Has everyone met Michele over at Cowboys and Custard blog? Here is another blogging friend and VERY creative woman - who just so happens to live in gorgeous Bath, England! I happened upon her blog last month and was thrilled to find a collage box that she made. Oh boy, I already had my Christmas money spent when I saw it. Michele makes the most adorable boxes with different themes. Her Valentine one is precious, too!

I received my parcel the day after receiving Chris and Esther's. It felt like Christmas here!

Look at the cute wrapping and her customized ribbon. Oh, and what do I see in the little plastic bag? Scotty ribbon and three plastic scotty dogs! How cute!!!!

The adorable Cowboys and Custard Logo.
And check this out! Isn't it cute?

Here is what Michele created....A collage using all Vintage materials. Now isn't this sweet? Of course I HAD to have it! Yup! There is a little scotty. This fair haired bisque doll is named "Milly" (by Michele) and I named her dog Milligan.
Look at the details and the old Bobby Pins! Then there are the polka dots! Oh my!

Isn't she adorable? Thank you, Michele! I will treasure her forever!

Now wait, there's MORE! (yup!)

Did you see the new banner? That was sent to me from sweet Mary over at Isabella's Closet! I do believe that my blogging friends have me all figured out, wouldn't you say? Thank you, Mary, for your sweet generosity! I love the banner and it is just perfect for Sweet Cottage Dreams! Mary makes banners and sells them. If ya need a pretty little addition to your blog, check out her here.

Wow, you are so lucky. Heidi and I are looking at your blog at the same time while talking on Skype.
She wants to steal your elves.
I love that cute doll. I wish I had that pincushion pattern. It is really nice.

I love the new banner and yes it is so you! Then again I love the real thing. Tell Doogs I said looking good honey! He is just so adorable. Now you are making me extremely jealous again showing all those vintage elves! Miss Pickles the Elf just loves her little coworkers. One day I will have to try looking for them online. My mother has a few up in her attic but has no idea where. I remember them in our tree as a child.
