Good Measures

P1010031a

Good measures – you rule!

P1010027a

My little collection of expandable rulers and 6-inch advertising rulers are propped up in antique trophy cups on top of a little white hutch. The old patinas mix well together for a serene look.

P1010030a Stack the rulers up to use for a little “lift” in a vignette, too.

Fun, quirky and all in good measure!

  2. What a neat collection. The folding wood measuring sticks always remind me of my grandfather's workshop. I remember him having those.

  3. Hi~
Love you collection of rulers. I have to fight myself not to buy them when I see them. The patinas are so beautiful as you said. But, oh how I don't "need" one more thing to collect!
So it was a treat to see yours!

  10. Oh My! Every time I see one of those I think of my Dad! He was quite the creative genius and ALWAYS had one of those folding rulers handy, along with a metal "pull out" tape measure on his belt! I remember trying like H*LL to "refold" those tape measures for him when I was a wee one. . . . good memories for sure, thanks for the stroll, my bud! xoxo P

PS Spoke to "The Other Becky" yesterday (well, not spoke, but emailed) and she said you guys met "IN THE FLESH" oh how I would have loved to be there with two of my favorite Beckys in the whole wide world :)

I'm gathering all of mine together and when I have enough I'll know what to do with them! Do you like yard sticks too? I have bought a few recently and need an idea for displaying them too!
