Feeling like a nap? Nothing beats snuggling up under layers of handmade afghans and resting your head on a squishy pillow! My sweet and uber talented friend Elizabeth made me the red and white afghan for my birthday last year – and she made it nice and long for me knowing that I am nearly six feet tall. I just love it! So soft….. So cozy…..Soooo warm! hmmm…I feel a nap coming on! How about you?
It looks lovely, very snuggly.
ReplyDeleteOhh how cozy. I call these my granny blankets. I collect them and love to snuggle under them on days like today. Snowing and cold.. ~ mmmmm~ nice and toasty ;-)

How nice of your friend to make an afghans for you. We are also lucky enough to have one that was made by my mother. We still have our first one in the makings.

That does look cozy and I love your pillows in the background. The scottie pillow is just adorable!! How is your quilt going Becky? I didn't think I would have time to make one right now. I did buy the magazine for the pattern and will be curious to see how you like it.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely took a nice long nap on the couch today, but not underneath a homemade blanket. Very sweet!
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for wanting to take a nap under that sweet afghan! Your bed looks so cozy. Thanks for coming to visiting me the other day and leaving such a sweet and thoughtful comment. It means a lot to me!

ReplyDeleteO.K. Becky I missed this Sat. The
ReplyDeleteblack afghan looks a lot like the one I have of mom's. She made it
during the war out of wool all
colors of thread. It took her awhile because the thread was
hard to get during that time. I
love afghans, I've made a lot of
them. I love your red and white
one too.
Sweet picture! :)

If it's a gray day, there is nothing I want more than to snuggle under something warm and soft. Those afghans are calling me name!
