Fiona, what shall we talk about today?
Do you want to talk about boys? No?
Would you like for me to brush your hair? (cause you realllllly need it!) No?
Do you want to talk about what you would like to do when I am done working? No?
Fiona, what would you like to talk about?
She thinks about it for a minute…..
…and then she comes up with this:
“Can I have my ears pierced? Please?? Pretty please? Don’t you think I’d be cute with some hoops like yours, momma? Some scottie bling would be really cute!!”
Girls……….
…….Boys are so much easier!!
My answer to her was this: Ask your father……..
Hey, boys aren't always easier, all three of my boys are having this whole begging for pierced ears conversation. I started out several years ago saying "I had to wait til I was 13, so you do too!"
ReplyDeleteBut now they are 11 1/2 and still counting down the days til their 13th birthday. *Sigh* So much for hoping they would get over it...
Hi Becky, That is the cutest post I've ever read. Can't wait to see the new look Fiona has with earrings, ha ha!
ReplyDeleteHugz,
Kim
Too funny! At my house, girls are easier. My boys are soooo, soooo good, but they are a lot more hard headed than my girls. Have a good night.
ReplyDeleteLove, Debbie
Maybe just a diamond stud ;o)!
ReplyDeleteFiona is just adorable! Animals can always bring a smile to my face when nothing else can :) Let that girl get her ears pierced!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you!
Blessings and Hugs,
Donna
Boys certainly are much easier. But girls can talk their daddies into just about anything. Mimi
ReplyDeleteAh, go ahead and let her have her ears pierced, she will be so cute.
ReplyDeleteThen you could both wear matching earrings everyday!
Fiona is wise beyond her years.
hugs
Sissie
Having only had a daughter, I would not have a clue what to talk about with a little boy. I guess boys don't like talking as much as girls do anyway.... LOL
ReplyDeleteDi
(I say let her get the hoops)
LOL! I raised 4 boys, not one girl....but I think boys are easier too.... Have a wonderful week sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Penny
I am simply falling in love with your dogs. So precious.
ReplyDeleteOh Fiona, that would be darling! I tried to paint my Molly's toe nails once. She wouldn't have any part of it. Obviously, she's not as stylish as you. :)
ReplyDeleteOMG, Becky, this is soooooo full of cuteness! I can't wait to get our little Scottie puppy. I LOVE this post. Have a wonderful day. PS: I am making your choc chip cookies today :))) Jan (licoricelucy)
ReplyDeleteToo cute :o)
ReplyDeleteIf they made a stuffie that looked like Fiona, I think that I would need to own one. Every time I see her picture, I smile. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDelete♥, Susan
She is just precious! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteSo cute. She is adorable.
ReplyDeleteShe is definitely a "girlie" girl. I can't believe how much she has grown. She has become quite the young lady! Love this post. And I love how she poses so nicely for pictures.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day,
♥ Toni
Your little Fiona is such a doll! My scotties don't like to be brushed either. They would much rather run and play and get all kinds of "gunk" in their hair.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your cute pictures!
I should have warned you when Maggie wanted to paint her toenails! Next thing you know Duhgall will be wanting a tatoo! As a matter of fact, you better check to make sure big brother didn't already take him to get one.
ReplyDeleteMy gosh has she gotten big, a full grown beauty you have there.
ReplyDeleteHee-hee! Good answer! ♥
ReplyDeleteTell her not till she's 16! :)
ReplyDelete~Liz
I've always wanted to pierce my ears too, Fiona! I've always wanted rubies, my birthstone. How about you?
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots
Maggie
She is such a cute little thing. Hmm, a little diamond stud would be quite nice really. or a pearl, yep, a little pink pearl.
ReplyDeleteLOL Diamond studs perhaps???? And she would share with Mommy????
ReplyDeleteFiona knows what girls like, bling! How could you say no to a face like that!!!
