I love the rain.

Fresh.

Renewing.

Necessary.

We needed this water….thank you, Lord.

But can you please stop the wind? Not

that I don’t like Kansas………but I prefer

my house stay where it is.

  2. I have been hearing so many ominous things about storms and mudslides in California. I hope all of you will be alright. We have had a lot of snow here in the Midwest but otherwise a normal winter.

    Take care, Becky! :-)

  3. I agree, the rain for this gardener makes me so happy. Also am happy for all the farmers and folks who make their living from the white stuff (snow!). I too want to keep my house and pray the Oaks behave themselves. God bless sweetie.

  5. Don't ever dream of moving to Oklahoma if you don't like the wind. It will surely blow your socks off if you aren't careful (and move your house down the lane as well!).

I use to be afraid of the weather here. Growing up in Cali I was use to the Earthquakes that sometimes rocked my world. I've come to understand that at least with the Oklahoma tornadoes we have some WARNING!

"If if never ever rained then we'd never, ever grow..."

    Love to you~

  7. I really like the way you caught the drops of water mid-air in your photos. Don't get blown away! (You do already have Toto though, don't you?) laurie

  13. What a cute and funny post! You made me laugh. We had a sunny day here (for once) as this has been a rather dark and cloudy January. Thanks for visiting my blog, leaving a nice comment (about my crocheting - really I'm just a beginner) and becoming a follower! That was very sweet of you. I love visiting your blog. May your coming days be filled with sunshine.

    Hugs,

  14. I know you need that rain! I'm so glad you are getting it, but I see from the weather report that you are getting all sort of other unwelcome stuff! Hang in there - stay snug in your home.

  18. It rained here for 5 hours straight! Arizona's soil is so hard that it just lays on the top and makes messes...I had at least at least an inch of standing water last night, my whole backyard , everything was underwater....came out this morning...all gone. We are getting a lot of rain right now also, and it is such a godsend! How do you get those incredible photos???? WOW!

  19. interesting the both coasts are so rainy right now. it's been chilly, damp and quite dreary with little mixes of flurries. lots of tea, coffee, hot chocolate flowing around here.

hope you're keeping dry and cozy.

  22. Keep those feet firmly on the ground now! Enjoy the rain and hold a scottie if it looks like lift-off...they're rugged little fellers and they'll hold you down.

  23. Your photos are beautiful! I hope the winds die down and you don't have storms.
I have to tell you, I do believe Scottys and mini Schnauzers are cousins. My little Chloe Dawn does the same thing - she watches and waits for anything to come into our yard or even pass by the street and then she barks. If I don't pay too much attention to her she will come find me and commence to 'tell' me about what she's seen. They're just little hoots, aren't they?
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  26. How funny, but I watch the weather all the time and I see where you are getting blasted! You would not like Kansas...... too much snow! I hope that the next storm coming in misses your house..

We have thunderstorms tonight! In Jan. That is unheard of.... Terrible weather! Thank you Lord for the rain on Becky house but please stop the wind...unless you want to move her to Oklahoma!!!

  27. Hi Becky,
I think our pool is going to spill over!. Did you hear the thunder and see all the lighting?. It was amazing. I sewed all day long while watching T.V.
    I love being home.
    See you soon,
    Big Hugs,
    Elizabeth

Rain makes me happy, I especially like when it hits the big old metal picnic table we have. But I'm with you about the wind...

  33. Becky~ We got your storms last
night. It wasn't as bad here as
it was in other parts of our
state. We didn't need the rain
or the wind. If you have a pair
of red heels, next time you might
want to put them on in case you
have to click your heels 3 times.
I think I will invest in me a
    pair.:O)

  35. Your water photos are beautiful! The winds will dry things out faster..when it stops raining. Hope you get just enough rain, and then the sunshine and rainbows.
