“Highered” Help

Duhgall and Fiona

My guard dogs.

My “highered” help.

They watch for birds, hawks, cats in the court behind us….

and bark to let me know if something is worthy of looking into.

Duhgall used to patrol on his own.

Now he makes room on the guard bench for his sissy, Fiona.

……Keep up the good work, my sweet little scotties! You will be

paid with tasty treats, hugs and tons of kisses!

  3. Oh how cute. I recently moved the couch to vacuum behind it. It sits in front of the window. While it was moved Daisy sat in front of the window. They so love looking out. And I guess your right that have that "guard" instinct. I am planning on doing major room re-arranging and hopefully if Cowboy agrees Daisy's window will be open. She can watch for Fi and Doughall to come for a visit!
    Have a great week,
    Sherry

  4. Isn't it great having little watch doggies. Murphy (my little granddog) is over two days a week and when one starts barking, the other one goes off. Miss ya.

    Hugs,
    LeAnn:)

  8. They are just so cute..... I have decided that after my Schnauzer Zeke goes to pet heaven I am going to have a Scottie....... Zeke is 9 and very healthy so I pray that my new Scottie is years into my future.. I would get one now but I have Moses the Love Bird and he and Zeke are buddies..... I would not think a puppy would take to Moses as well....

  9. Awww bless, aren't they just wonderful? Guarding their family so vigilantly.
My Poppygirl protects us from lions, rhinos, birds, snakes, doggies, cats and assorted cartoon animals on telly, lol, how dare they show themselves in our family room?

  10. Maggie helps me out, too. She keeps me from getting bored by tracking things in on the carpet so I can vacuum and getting the patio doors dirty so I can windex. She would probably like a window perch, also, so she can spy on the neighbor across the street.

  33. Now this looks like a very familiar scene. I said just this morning that my bench needs to be even longer. The cats have discovered the birds coming to the bird bath and feeder outside the window. They are insisting Oliver and Baggins share the bench! Love the photos!
