To contemplate: To look at attentively and thoughtfully.
To consider carefully and at length; meditate on or ponder.
To have in mind as an intention or possibility.
You know, there are some things that are better to just look at in life rather than to try and take them on.
One thing we don't need to think too much about is how much we enjoy our walks. It is good to do these things to clear the mind and rejuvinate the soul.
And we do it best with a leaf stuck to our beards!
These next few days are going to be quite busy around our house as our Maw is deep in thought about something. She keeps mumbling about getting things done and how thankful she is to have so many wonderful blogging friends. One thing us scotties do know is that she has been preparing for a little Christmas giveaway….so stay tuned. Till then…..happy trails to you…and to you….and you...and you.

ReplyDeleteI have lots of intentions in mind each and every day. I think my A.D.D. *giggling* gets in the way though.

What a fun post! You Scotties are just too cute -- and handsome -- what a profile pic! Hope you didn't take that longhorn on -- ouch!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place to walk with the company of those two cuties!
ReplyDeleteAwesome post! Our pupsters love walking too, especially in the almond orchard next door. I love the short hair cut on Dughgall's ears in the first picture. Our groomer has been leaving Connor's ears longer these days...I like the short clean cut myself. Hope you have a wonderful day. Hugs, Mumzie :)
ReplyDeleteThe photo of your doggies contemplating the cow, or is it steer,is priceless!
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful - nothing like the soul of a dog or two to settle our spirits. Jennifer
ReplyDeleteGood choice Mr. Dughall! That did not look like a happy California cow. Can't wait to see what mommy has in mind. Tell her to relax, it doesn't ALL have to get done.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Dawn
They are so sweet! I have been looking into getting another scottie but I have decided to wait tell spring!
ReplyDeleteI thought of you on Turkey Day.... The Dog show was on TV after the Macey's T-Day Parade.... A little black Scottie took Best In Show! :)

Rory & Fiona are happy to see your furkids...and it's so odd that the male and female in our house are the opposite colors..
ReplyDeleteKudos to whoever it was who took those shots of you. They made me smile. And, I needed that today.
Hey is that my calico bull? On the back rd to Knight's Ferry? Sweet pix my friend. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteYour pups are so sweet. I love the photo of you walking them through the trees.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice of them to hint about your giveaway too!
I'm having a giveaway - a pretty cross stitch made by a woman in India. It's a Bible verse...take a peek if you think you might like it.
I'm laughing about the leaf. Blissfully unaware, they are. And why should they care? I love the photos of you on your walk. What gorgeous serene scenery you have to stroll in! I received the little red and green vintage potholders. All wrapped so sweetly. I have them here next to me still staring at them. Every time I see something Scottie-related at the antique mall, etc., I automatically think of you. Loved this post!

Miss Maggie is missing her big brother and little sister. She wants to know if she could go visit cows, too! A walk in the country would be just divine.
ReplyDeleteDon't work to hard, Maw!
The only problem I have is it isn't showing I am your follower.

Love your blog - and your Scotties are so stinkin' cute! May I ask a question? Are you a doctor? I think I read that on your blog awhile back ~ and it makes absolutely no difference. Just my inquiring mind, is all.
ReplyDeleteDughgall is so handsome isn't he? That looks like a wonderful place to take a walk!
ReplyDeleteHi Helen,
ReplyDeleteNoooo, I am not a doctor. I think you might remember me talking about doctoring my chairs I recovered/repainted. You are cute! I wouldn't mind being a MD though! ;)
hugs,
becky
Thank you Becky!
ReplyDeleteLove your dogs!!
So sweet!!

Oh my Doogs looks so regal and wise in the first picture. Miss Fiona has turned into such a lovely young lady.
ReplyDeleteI need to get back to my walking...it is sooo cold here though...brrrrr...AND I have a lab that pulls. rofl. cherry
ReplyDeleteGoodness, I hope Doogs isn't really contemplating anything to do with that bull! When Earl gets that far away look and I ask him what he is thinking he turns to me and says that when men are staring into space they aren't thinking about anything at all. lol, Looking forward to seeing what you will be giving away:>)
ReplyDeleteOMG! You Scotties are so precious! Great pictures, too. Thanks so much for sharing them with us.
ReplyDeleteSandy A in St. Louis
Love your pics. Every time I see
ReplyDeleteanything with a scottie on it I

Ha. Oliver and Baggins had walks last week by the cows too. There is a farm just across the street from Michael's house. I'm still editing photos. What wonderful photos--love handsome Dughall at the top. Of course they can't go anywhere without bringing back some plant life stuck on their velcro bodies ;-) Contemplation and walks make a perfect couple. See you soon!
ReplyDeleteLove you bunches,
Lallee
Lovely shots of contemplation!
ReplyDeleteI hope your preparations go smoothly - I look forward to seeing photos of the decked rooms.

What a very brave and very smart doggie to contemplate the beautiful bull instead of running around and yapping like a lunatic.
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking the time to fully train your poochies. Now they will be able to live long and full lives. (Instead of being stampeded.)
Hi Becky :)
ReplyDeleteYour babies are so cute and have such great advice ;)
I'm glad you had a nice Thanksgiving. I was thinking of you.
