This old shelf is the newest addition to our home...
love the old worn white paint.
For now it stands against a narrow wall in our kitchen and holds some little treasures,
like the birdhouse that adorable
Elyse made for me.
A place to hang my grandmother's crocheted apron...
...stack some red plaid things, like the big red thermos that sweet
Sherrigifted me in March.
And tucked on the shelf is this sweet linen heart pillow that my friends, Jenny and Andrea, make. ....i love it.....and sending a loving wish for a great day to all of you!
Love the shelf and those plaid metal picnic baskets are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI love your new shelf! Anything that has the chippy paint...you know has been well loved.
ReplyDeleteAlso the plaid lunch box brings back so many memories from my childhood. My aunt used to carry one to school and I just couldn't wait to get one but by the time I was off to school, I had to have a David Cassidy one. hehe
Have a great Wednesday,
Karen
Squeeeeeal....how darling is that, honey! I'm falling for it and those aren't even my favorite colors. Just adorable, sugar.

Hi Becky,
ReplyDeleteThe "old shelf" is wonderful, I love to display all my favorite things too.
Hasn't it been lovely fall weather the last few days. I have been so happy that the days have finely cooled down.
The quilt show you attended looked amazing and so much fun.
Enjoy your day,
Elizabeth
I have an old chippy red painted shelf - years ago my mom visited and was wondering around looking at my decorating and my projects. She got to the shelf and asked (totally serious) "well, when are you going to finish this thing". I laugh everytime I see that shelf.
ReplyDeleteI truly enjoy the peeks into your home - thank you for sharing them.

Hi Becky,
ReplyDeleteDawn at Cottage State of Mind sent me your way because we are fellow Scottie owners! So far I love your blog, I need to check it out furter though when I have a little more time. We could be two peas in a pod except you are way ahead of me in your blog decor. My site is called Ladybug Dreams. It is not so pretty yet and I think I will have to rethink my decor because yours is quite alike what I had in mind. Don't want to be a copy cat. I love red and of corse Scotties. Ladybug is my little Scottie's name. Come visit sometime, you'll find me at brtowsleyblogs.blogspot.com
Have a good day!
