Isn't it just wonderful when someone prepares a delicious meal for you? To walk into your own kitchen and have fabulous aromas lingering in the air and making your tummy growl?
These two lovely young people (my youngest son, Mr. S. and his sweet girlfriend, Miss K.) are just so thoughtful and quite an impressive pair in the kitchen! They found a recipe for Paula Deen's chicken pot pie on the internet, made the list, went shopping and came home to get busy in the kitchen. Miss K. came all the way from New Hampshire and she said that before she left for home, they wanted to do something nice for my husband and I.
They even set the table and my son was proud to find the cherry napkins that I had stashed away.

You really outdid yourselves and the pot pie was PERFECT! Right down
to the creamy sauce! Yum!!!
Y'all should give this recipe a try. You may have to unbutton the top of your trousers afterwards, but it is well worth it!!
Great kids! Gotta love it when someone takes over in the kitchen...did they clean up afterward, too?
ReplyDeleteOh how sweet of your son and his girlfriend. My mouth is watering just looking at your pictures so I can only imagine how good it must taste for real. I think I will have to try that recipe and maybe wear some elastic waist pants that day :-)

ReplyDeletewhat a sweet pair they are. She seems like pretty good makings for a great daughter-in-law. Proving her talent already huh? It looks delish, the crust looks so light and tasty. I love chicken pot pie, but have never tried Paula Deans. She always makes the best looking food. AND so fattening too, just the kind we like. If you're gonna eat, it might as well taste good right? Have a good week, Shanda
