I write with great sorrow to tell you that Becky and her husband lost their oldest son Jordan today. Please keep Becky, her husband, and her younger son in your prayers as they go through the next days together. I know each of you have great fondness for Becky as I do and will love her well through this. May God comfort them and bring them sure peace in the midst of their deep loss.
Becky will be taking some time off from blogging. She will complete her give-away at a later time. I know none of you are concerned one bit about that part.

i am heartsick and heartbroken for you. i'm so very sorry for this unbearable, inconceivable loss to you and your family.
i once heard author ann hood speak about losing her young daughter. she recently published a book titled "comfort." maybe it will be something of comfort to read when you're ready.

Becky, my heart is aching for you...just aching. I cannot imagine what you are going through. You and your family are in my thoughts. I had a very good friend pass away unexpectedly yesterday as well and my heart hurts...and perhaps they will meet in heaven and as my friend was a protector here on earth, perhaps when they meet in heaven he will protect your son too~ In the hands of God anything is possible.
May it comfort you to know that the loving arms which now embrace your son are the very same arms holding you close in your sadness. Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you...Psalm 55:22.

I went through a loss several years ago and Jesus comforted me so much with His promise in John 14. I could almost hear Him speak these words of comfort to me...
"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
I just wanted to share my sorrow with you. And some comfort that I hope helps you bear this heavy load. Your beautiful blog is a blessing to me. I enjoy the cottage atmosphere and the grace that you pour out like a soothing cup of tea. I know that God has prepared your son a mansion in glory that is "home sweet home" for him. His new home is furnished with the touch of a carpenter's son...Jesus Christ. Focus on the promise that you will see him again. I will pray for comfort and strength as you travel this valley of the shadow of death. May Psalm 23 give you comfort. Love you, my sister. May God speak comfort to you and your family.
