More Cottage Favorites To Share With You

This is a little room off of our great room - should be a formal dining room - but we use it for a sitting/computer room. The pink chair was given to me by my mother. It was the chair that she had in her living room for years and I read my Nancy Drew books whilst sitting in it. The white hutch holds green depression glass that was passed on to me from my Great Aunt Nora and also my collection of ironstone pitchers hang out in the hutch.
Above is our bedroom. I made the bedskirt from a Waverly taupe check fabric. The crochet piece at the end of the bed is a bedspread I bought off of eBay. At the foot of the bed is an antique trunk with a very old wicker basket on top of it. Below is one of my favorite metal shelves with an assortment of things that I collect.

This cabinet holds some of my fabric collection. I have more stashed in plastic tubs, drawers and baskets. A little addiction of mine....

This is a corner in our guest bedroom. The old iron bed has been layered with three vintage bedspreads and lots of handmade pillows (a few made by me and others by Amanda @ Raspberry Beret and Amy @ Vintage Home). Over the bed is an old etched mirror that I bought to put over the fireplace but changed my mind when I saw how cute it was over the bed. This room is very small and the mirrors make it look larger and help to reflect light.

  5. Everything is simply gorgeous! You have such great taste. And your fabric armoire is fascinating to someone like me who can't sew a stitch. I'm lucky I can do buttons.

Thank you for sharing the two posts. I can't imagine what you would have left out. Everything is so beautiful.

    Love,
    Julie

  7. Becky, I think we can now officially be card carrying members of the Mutual Admiration Society. ha ha I just love your home. That little white metal shelf has my name all over it. And the items you display on it are perfect. You are a pretty good photographer too. Just kidding, your pictures are so professional, did you have any training? You are the one who should have your home featured in a magazine. Okay, now I'm rambling. Much love,
    Lisa

  9. Thanks for 'inviting' me into your home! I am truely enjoying seeing how you have put your rooms together with charm. I love the ebay find of the crochet bedspread. I also love the needlepoint pillow on your bed. Did you make it?

I too have a fabric addiction which is out of control. But then with my creative energy being let loose on Halloween ideas so is my entire quilt studio.
