the magic cottage

magic cottage

Ever have days like this?

….and a dust cloth was slapping her in the head….

the nerve!

If only our house could clean itself….

now that would be a JOY!

  1. I wish my house would clean itself for sure! Or that I could be like Bewitched and just wiggle my nose or Jeannie and fold my arms....it doesn't work, I've tried it!

It was so wonderful to meet you last week, Becky, and I just wanted you to know I posted about it on my blog today.
I told Sandi that I hope maybe someday you and she could come up here for 'tea'!!
    I hope we'll meet again..
    Blessings and hugs,

  3. I'd go for a self-cleaning house - if I could find things again after they were put away!!

  4. ....the garden weed itself, and Rosie groom herself, and the laundry do itself....I could really get into this!

  7. The timing of this is perfect! I was just cleaning the kitchen and I sat down for a little breather. I thought I'd catch up on what all my favorite blogger girlies were up to. Little did I know, this whole time you were taking pictures of me in through the window!!

  10. I wish my house would clean itself too! It doesn't cooperate very well. When I clean it, my house refuses to stay clean! :)
    Be a sweetie,

  16. I use to say I would have a house
    like the Jetson's (cartoons) and
I would push a button and it would
clean itself. I'm still hunting the button. I have to dust today,
    vacuumed and mopped yesterday. I
can remember when I used to do all
in one day. If only I wouldn't get
sidetracked playing (changing things around). But I so enjoy all
    my good stuff.":O)

  18. Hi Becky,
After the cleaning fairy is done at your house please send her over to mine! I think dusting is what takes me the longest time... to much stuff LOL..

  27. Good Morning,
Oh...I wish! I've been cleaning like crazy this week. Hubby is having a big birthday...thus, a big party. And the trouble is...that the rooms that I did first...need to be done again!! Yikes!!!

Thanks for visiting my blog. You are welcome back anytime. Have a thoughtful Thursday. ~Natalie

  28. Things tend to look better if I don't wear my glasses. Not cleaner but better... BTW - you sure have some cute things in your etsy shop!

  29. OOOH those cursed weeds and dust!!! But on the + side dusting can be sorta fun. Take a trip down memory lane as you handle your vintage treasures and perhaps even imagine or fantasize their past lives. Any distraction is welcome here, as I am dusting a museum.

  33. My Dad used to read me "The Magic Cottage" and years ago the book dissapeared. I have been trying to find one ever since. Can you tell me the author's name? I would really appreciate any information you have. Thank you! ~Alison <><
