Stacking Up On The New Shelf

This old shelf is the newest addition to our home...
love the old worn white paint.
For now it stands against a narrow wall in our kitchen and holds some little treasures,
like the birdhouse that adorable Elyse made for me.
A place to hang my grandmother's crocheted apron...
...stack some red plaid things, like the big red thermos that sweet Sherri
gifted me in March.
And tucked on the shelf is this sweet linen heart pillow that my friends, Jenny and Andrea, make. ....i love it.....and sending a loving wish for a great day to all of you!

    I love your new shelf! Anything that has the chippy paint...you know has been well loved.
    Also the plaid lunch box brings back so many memories from my childhood. My aunt used to carry one to school and I just couldn't wait to get one but by the time I was off to school, I had to have a David Cassidy one. hehe

    What a cute vignette. I love the little cottage door stop. Every time I see your plaid collection I could kick myself for selling some at a yard sale years ago. For pennies!!

    All your treasures look just perfect on your new little shelf. The plaid thremos reminds me of a picnic size one my dad won at a golf tournament when I was young.

    I have an old chippy red painted shelf - years ago my mom visited and was wondering around looking at my decorating and my projects. She got to the shelf and asked (totally serious) "well, when are you going to finish this thing". I laugh everytime I see that shelf.

    That is a great old chippy paint shelf, and I love the plaid lunch boxes! I loved plaid dresses when I was a little girl...everything had to be plaid, but I didn't get a plaid lunch box!
