Yard Dogs

Hey, Mommmmmm!
MOM!!! Look at ME! Can Duhgall and I go out to play?It is such a nice day and there are leaves to rake out in the yard....
...and sticks that I can sink my teeth into....
...and, really....I can be of big help to you if you promise to take us outside!
Here....let me help you gather this pile up.
Ok...all gathered...now I can take a rest!
"Fiona,"says Duhgall, "I am sitting here supervising and you are NOT doing your part. Look, there is still a pile there you need to pick up."
"Wait a minute, Fiona, the pile is over here, NOT over there!"

Doogs is thinking to himself that she cannot stay focused on the task at hand.

"Doogie," I say to him....
"What Mom?"
"You are such a good boy and thank you for making sure little sister does her part."
Duhgall likes to be praised! He is such a good big brother to his little sister.....so much in fact that he yells out...
" Fiona! Run!" Little does she know that a giant frog is stalking her for his dinner!!!
Ahhhh....nothing beats a good sleep after a hard day of work!

Enjoy your weekend!

Maybe you will want to get out and play in the dirt, too!

  10. Becky, if there is anything any sweeter than a puppy I would like to know what it is. You always tell such a great story with your photos. You should write a little doggie book. Duhgall has such an expressive face, and when Fiona was sleeping in the last photo, I couldn't stop smiling and saying oh....... I am so glad you got Miss fiona to keep you and Doogs company. Have a wonderful weekend sweet Becky,

Yardwork and getting ready for new growth and flowers and grass and warm breezes must be a healing thing. Spring is just six days away...

  37. They are so cute! We had a Westie for 16 years named Mopsi. A he with a she name...that was the most adorable, sweetest, fiesty doggy. I always wanted a Scottie to go with him. But had Black Labs instead--who are sweethearts too!
Thanks for bringing back the memories of my dear friend---the pictures of yours brought back so many wonderful memories.

  51. What a fun day outside! As of yesterday, our last layer of snow has mostly melted....I should go out and throw the ball for Samdog. He goes out on the porch and sits under where the ball is and stares at it, then to me, then back to the ball, back to me, back to the ball.......I can hear his voice in my head the whole time, "Come on Mom...there's the ball....just for a while...PLEASE please please!!!
Sam would love to have a puppy sibling as the kitties don't like him at all, much to his dismay!
    Blessings- LillySue

  54. Aaaaaaah what a little sweetie Miss Fiona is. Doogs looks so reserved and proper, but I bet the little one can really give him a run for the money and make him act silly. Fiona looks the picture of innocence in the picture where she's napping. What a cute bed she has; my 10 month old Cardigan Welsh Corgi Jiggs (http://www.picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/20023615) would have a bed like that torn up in a flash. Thank you so much for posting such great pictures of the pups.

I know you have tons of scottish goods but I was wondering if you already have a vintage plaid thermos...cannot remember who made it but they are quite collectible.

I posted about it on my blog.....months ago.
Just sitting around here~if you could use it for your collection....I would love to send it your way.
