It's Starting To Look A Lot Like Christmas

A little grouping of Santas and my squirrels. This happy group sits on top of my desk in our den. The "pencil" Santa is my boys' favorite one. Each year I buy a Santa piece for my collection and this guy is about 15 years old. The tallest Santa was given to me by my father for my birthday many years back. Dad bought him on a trip to Oregon. I love Santa's boiled wool red cap and coat, his green cords and black buckled shoes! He is a beauty!!

I found this great shelf to display my Vintage Baby Ben clock collection in. For quite some time I have been looking for a shelf like this and found this one at my friend Marcia's shop. I love the dark green color. On top is an old CWS biscuit tin with a bluebird..one of my favorite tins.

Has everyone started their decorating or finished yet? I find myself moving things around here and there to get the right look. The house is looking cozy and with the twinkle lights and the little Santa faces smiling here and there. I did not get around to entering the Cottage Of The Month contest over at Jennifer's, but am anticipating who the lucky winner will be. No doubt it will be fab-u-lo-so!

Till the next post, wishing all of you a happy weekend! Take some time to enjoy the day!!

  7. I like your Santas, but I think I like your clock collection even more. I love clocks I have a few of them but nothing worth showing. OH SO SAD! I thought for sure you would enter the cottage of the month. I am sure that would be a bit stressful, for me anyways. Seems like these days I just can't put on more thing on my plate.
    Have a blessed day

  8. They are some very handsome Santa's. I have about a fourth of my usual Christmas out of the attic, and I think I quit. I have to crawl in on my hands and knees, and I am just not in the mood.
I love your shelf and clock collection.

Fun to see a peek at your holiday stuff. We've been decorating our tree. It was an all day experience, being that it is the most hugest one we've ever had! Now I need to buy more ornaments, darn!

Back to finish up some stuff, just popped in for a little inspiration and a big hello to you and Doogs!

  24. Good start Becky. I really think that big Santa looks like an Oregon Santa. Does that sounds silly? He looks very outdoorsy. :) Do you put Santa's all through your house?

The shelf is perfect for you clocks. They look great in it! BUT I spied something else...THOSE LITTLE WONDERFUL AND ADORABLE ELVES!!! How cute are they. Humm, I may have to come along in Santa's sleigh and steal those. Ho Ho Ho!

I have been sharing my decorations on my blog so come over and have a look...

    Hugs ~

  25. You have a wonderful collection of Santas, all the more special when you have a special memory about them.

The shelf is absolutely perfect for your beautiful clocks. Of course I like the Scottie tucked in there, too.
