Rise and shine, shake off the sleepies out of the head and pour that first cup of coffee. Ahhh…nice hot French Roast, my favorite. So with camera in hand, eyes still a bit blurry, I just snapped some photos of the way the house feels first thing in the morning. It’s as though the house is waking up right along with me.
I want to share the pieces that I won from Alison’s giveaway that she had over the summer. The next three pictures include those items: the ironstone gravy bowl, white pitcher and the small wicker covered bottle. Needless to say, I was extremely excited to have opened up the box from Alison! Thank you again, Alison!!! See how perfectly each piece fits right in?
Today the light coming in is filtered as there are high clouds in the sky. Mellow tones play against each room. Light reflects on glass fronts, against mirrors…..
….and lands on some objects as if shining a spot light on them for the moment.
I love morning time! And I love fall!
Where did that cup of coffee go to?
See ya!
Mornings at your house are very pretty!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your coffee!
What a beautiful morning at your lovely home! It's time for lunch here and I haven't had my morning coffee yet. We ran out this morning to get our seasonal flu shots. it's so pretty here with the sun shining. I don't want to forget to tell you I love your new blog header and template. It's so pretty with the reds and white and your little Scottie doggie.
ReplyDeleteI love the first morning's light! Your home is so serene and peaceful looking! Mine is chaotic. After all, my five year old grandson lives here!!! Usually you have to hop over toy cars and such on the floor!
ReplyDeleteLoved my visit here today.
Hugs,
Kris
I was just thinking the same thing. I was outside this morning. I can smell the season. I closed my eyes and inhaled and thought....God is right here...right now.
ReplyDeleteNice!!! I could drink a whole pot there. Seeing your cotton reminds me, the other day we passed the cotton fields and I said I wanted

How I love visiting your home, Becky! Throughout the year you have thoughtfully placed items that bring in each season. I just returned from a trip to the beach and your starfish struck me! I lived for 13 years in the south and regularly saw cotton fields that went for miles. I wish I had brought some with me when I moved back to the west. Your display is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all you share...It's always so uplifting and inspirational!
Hugs,
Carolynn xoxo
My friend Sue (Sullivan and Murphy) and I were at a barn sale and saw a scottie pin. We both said it reminded us of you.
ReplyDeleteWish my doggie could come to your classroom too.
I love the way sunlight plays over objects. The way it slants through the windows and moves about the house. Gotta have that coffee!

I love your wicker covered bottles! I passed one up at Junk Bonanza and I've been kicking myself for it.

ReplyDeleteHi sweet Becky!
ReplyDeleteAh, yes, early morning coffee with the sunshine streaming in! Perfect! Love your pretty photos as always. Thought of you yesterday! I was at Micheals, and saw the cutest cupcake liners from Mary Engliebriet with scotties on them! Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Debbie
Congratulations on your win, Becky. The gifts you received look perfectly at home in your beautiful house.
ReplyDeleteA cup of French Roast and a tour of your cozy home ... a lovely way to start the day. I do love the light at this time of year.
You have the most lovely way of uniting seemingly disparate items into interesting and pleasant groupings. I wish I had your talent. I will, however, settle for developing my skills by studying your blog and learning from your gorgeous pictures.
