For Today….

P1010020b1 When something that I read makes an impact on my day, I like to share it with others. A daily devotional that an adorable friend of ours sent to me a few years ago had a message in it the other day that I want to share. It goes like this:

Give yourself fully to the adventure of today. Walk boldly along the path of Life, relying on your ever-present Companion. You have every reason to be confident, because My Presence accompanies you all the days of your life – and onward into eternity.P1010004i1 Do not give in to fear or worry, those robbers of abundant living. Trust Me enough to face problems as they come, rather than trying to anticipate them. Fix your eyes on me, the Author and Perfecter of your faith, and many difficulties on the road ahead will…P1010005k1 …vanish before you reach them. Whenever you start to feel afraid, remember that I am holding you by your right hand. Nothing can separate you from My Presence!

Hebrews 12:2; Isaiah 41:13P1010008h1 Dear friends, I can only glorify God for His grace that He has continued to give to me and my family. I am not speaking lightly of this either. Over time He has continued to answer prayers and has blessed us in the simplest of ways. I don’t usually get on my soap-box about religion, but I owe it to Him to stand on it today, to glorify Him for his gift of love and compassion. He is the bright light to our days and the keeper of the promise of eternal life. Though life can be rough and uncertain at times, when we turn to Him in prayer, He DOES listen.

May the sun shine on your day and it be blessed.

xxo

  1. Thank you, Becky, for letting your light shine. I think that the Lord has used the painful experience of the death of Jordon to fill you with a faith and strength that's a true witness to what this relationship with the Lord is all about. At least it speaks to me.
When I first started blogging I wasn't going to incorporate my faith into my blog. But I've found that since it is such a real and huge part of who I am, it's hard not to bring it up when the subject warrants it. So I've tried to balance it with all my other interest.
Anyway, thanks for sharing today's reflections. Kimberly

  9. Amen to that! He is so very faithful and His grace is sufficient for us in our times of trials. He has answered so many prayers for us and we believe strongly in a life of prayer and Bible reading every day. Thank you for declaring your love for Him and giving Him the glory He deserves! May God continue to bless you and your family as you walk boldly in Him!

  11. Ya know, sugar, your blog is up near the very top of favorite blogs. Why? Well, one reason is its "crispness" in the design. Second, I KNOW your photographs are among the truly beautiful and amazing. Three, I believe from reading your blog you're a religious person and not afraid to express it. I appreciate all three. Plus you are so right in having the Lord help you through things. I wish more people would think like that, sweetpea!

    xoxo,
    Connie

  14. It's not religion Becky, it's a relationship that we choose to have with Jesus and I would be lost without Him. I am learning that He is all that matters and that He is in control and that worry serves no purpose!

  20. This was nice. I don't think it hurts for people to "stand on their soap box" and proclaim those things that are dearest to their heart.
no one should "shun away" from the tender feelings and testimonies of others.

Reminds me of a great hymn I know called DID YOU THINK TO PRAY:
    the chorus goes like this.

"Oh how praying rests the Weary,Prayer will change the night to day. So when Life seems dark and dreary, Don't Forget to Pray"

I remember when my son died, I KNOW it was through the prayers of many people on my behalf,(and my own) that I was able to endure that heartache.

    have a lovely weekend

  21. XO precious one. He never leaves us or forsakes us, and all the pain we experience He already has done so as well. Aren't we blessed to have a God who came down and knows our pain and how to comfort us. He won't leave it all broken forever. Love you!
