…something like….
“As soon as she leaves the room, I am going back to my usual spot on the back of this chair. I know that is forbidden territory, but I do take my chances as soon as she clears the room. The only thing is, I get busted when she walks back in on me. Dang spot still feels warm to the touch…and there is evidence of blonde dog hair, too. Doogie never, never, never gets caught in the act, but he DOES sneak a nap there, too.”
Perhaps mom should lay a blanket down on the chair like she does on the couch......but she is already freaking out that the room doesn't look perfect for this post, but this is our house and we LIVE in it. :)
Have a good one everyone. Find a cozy spot in your day today.
Miss Fiona looks very innocent. I love your sofa and chair pattern...so pretty. The white tulips caught my eye too.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Penny
Fiona is precious! Even when she is being naughty! Mine think they own the furniture and use the blankets to burrow under!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Sooooo like our house. As soon as we get up out of a chair, Sam immediately gets in!! It's the warm spot and he always knows where the warm spot is!! Linda
ReplyDeleteAhh......love the puppy wuppies!!!! Have a heart, mom. Ahh.....
ReplyDeleteThis morning found my rascally guy on a comfy nest of clean towels that I threw upon my husbands bed (hospital type with rails pulled up) I thought it looked like a good spot to stage a folding session this morn as the bed is still vacant due to husbands prolonged stay at the actual hospital. I grinned just prior to requesting the black cocker to vacate his "warm" spot. Got to love our furry kids they out wit us all to often

ReplyDeleteShe's a cutie! I have a couple that sneak on occasion onto the furniture. They know they're not allowed, but they sure try!
ReplyDeleteSweet, that is just how Bugs hangs over the arm of the couch to nap. And we have a throw on the back of another couch for her window shopping...squirrels, chipmunks, chickens a deer or two.
ReplyDeleteAww sweet Fiona..She is so friendly..Fiona and I had a wonderful visit (I think she likes laps too) lots of doggy rubs behind her ears from me..
ReplyDeleteBig hugs and love, Elizabeth
Gosh you are cute!
ReplyDeleteAnd your Momma is perfect!
Hugs & kisses xoxo
Deborah :)
How I wish I was allowed on the sofa like you are, Miss Fiona. Your family room is sure pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch
Miss Fiona you can come sit anywhere you like at my house. Malcolm and Izzie do. I have given up perfection and let sleeping dogs lie:-).
ReplyDeleteAny room is perfect with a puppy in it! =D
ReplyDeleteHA HA! Too cute.
ReplyDeleteOh Fiona is so sweet...she can come sit on my chair any time!! Your room is so pretty too! Have a great day!!
ReplyDeleteMiss Fiona is very sweet! Your sofa is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteNow Becky you know that sweet thang is innocent. Look at that
ReplyDeleteface, I ask you , is that a face of a criminal....REALLY!!! How
could you deny that baby. Love your post and your room.
Love the couch! My kitties like the tops of the chairs and couch too. Sometimes they sneak up and lay right behind my head and then when they move, I jump because I didn't know they were there
ReplyDeleteSeems like our pets always find "their" spot. My hubby and I always sit on our recliner love seat to watch tv..and our 64 lb lap dog (tee, hee) has to hop right in the middle of us.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful living room btw
That could be Rory - just exactly the way he sits on the chair!
ReplyDeleteYou can't blame Fiona because all terriers have that 'top of the sofa' gene ... Julep and Derby love the back of the sofa and I've just given up on trying to keep it neat!
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Katie

Wait...I don't get it...you mean the furniture isn't for the dogs??? My dogs seem to think it's THEIRS! I better go talk to them... (Does this include all my throw pillows, too?)
ReplyDeleteOh, there's nothing like a little doggie to make a house a home!
