A girl just needs a little shopping therapy now and then! Walking around an antique shop can be very serendipitous and fun at the same time. Just never know what little treasure will spark a memory of the past or, better yet, be taken home to decorate with.
As I was walking around snapping these photos, I noticed a group of young ladies (oh, about mid 20’s) and they were really loving all of the vintage items. One young lady was planning her wedding and looking for vintage things to use as props. Some hot items right now are the old Ball canning jars to use for a candy bar, old typewriters to type messages for the bride and groom and bird cages to put cards in. Loving all of the uses for vintage things!
Such lovely delights...I'm surprised that I have so many of them, though they are not nearly so well displayed. It's nice to see some of your favorite things.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the little touches of vintage Christmas decor!

I'm a sucker for deco cottage illustrations, so I'd have snatched up that one that appears in the mirror. How dear. :)
ReplyDeleteI love to walk around the Antique Malls. So many fun things to see. And the best part is finding a little treasure to take home :-)

ReplyDeleteThere does seem to be a awakening of vintage these days...Nice pictures.
ReplyDeleteBecky you not right....you make me want to go back junking today and I just went yesterday. Sure wish I was there. I have 4 old suitcases by my sofa for an end table that holds an old phone from the 40's.
ReplyDeleteI have an old underwood typewriter
on my other end table. I told my grandchildren that is what I learned to type on and they said, "But mawmaw where is the cord to it." One said did that come over on the Mayflower? They can be so sweet sometimes..LOL.
I did get to type on an electric one every once in awhile. Our school didn't have many. My youngest grandson loves to type on it, he thinks it is awesome. That's my man..LOL.
Thanks for sharing your trip.

Oh so, so, so cute! I could seriously use those muffin tins too. I don't like all the new non stick pan stuff, give me the old fashioned pans any day!
