For those of you who have never visited my blog, and for those who already have, let me take a moment to say HELLO and WELCOME to Home #30 on the Parade Of Homes Tour.
A HUGE thank you goes out to Toni, our beautiful and creative genious for the current Parade Of Homes tour. If you click on the above button, you will be navigated to the very beginning of the tour, which began on May 1st. There are so many talented women participating in the Parade, so be sure to sit down and relax and enjoy their gorgeous homes.
Onwards now to our quaint cottage – a small Cape Cod home nestled on a street with other pretty New England style homes. We had always dreamed of living on this street and when a home became available, and the model we liked the most, we sold our other home and moved in. The home had been neglected and there was tons of work to be done. Over time, the cottage has taken on small transformations – and large ones, like the kitchen remodel and the half bath redo. Though there are still projects yet to do, I will share with you the house – the presentable rooms (smile) – for now.
The front porch.
Come on in….Fiona, our Wheaten Scottish Terrier, will greet you. (Our other scottie, Mr. Duhgall, is napping in the closet – his “man cave.”)
Entering the great room.
Fiona is napping in the granny chair.
The Formal Dining Room:
Come on in to our kitchen.
Walking towards the laundry room and half bath.
The guest bedroom:
The Master Bedroom:
Miss Socks finds the bed quite comfy, don’t you little Missy?
This concludes the tour of our small cottage. Thank you for taking the time to visit!
Wishing all of you a Happy Mother’s day, too.
Your next stop will be to Amanda’s BEAUTIFUL home! Her transformed laundry room is amazing!!! Just click on the button below.
If you have missed out on some of the homes, just click on the button below to take you to the very beginning of the tour.
Run along now! You won’t want to miss out on the fun!
Oh Becky...thank you so much for sharing your lovely home! I enjoyed every peek! I have to say that the guest room is my very favorite ~ what lucky guests you have.
ReplyDeleteYour home looks like a a place where people live....just exactly how a home should look!
What a beautiful home, from the front porch to the animals so comfy there. I love the bedroom with red..and all the old fashioned antiques all over in the home. Thanks for the tour..loved it! :D
ReplyDeleteYour home is right out of a magazine...in fact your home looks like something Mary Engelbreit would have featured in her Home Companion. All the fresh flowers in each room make each room POP. Your Scottie dog collection is so sweet. My favorite room might be the bedroom with all the red touches. Just beautiful. Lovely tour.
ReplyDeleteBecky, your home is so charming and welcoming that I could plunk down anywhere and stay awhile. I'm going to be taking some cues from you as well. The lighter walls are a perfect complement to your decorative items. I adore all the vintage 1920s graphics, the scotties throughout, the reds, the wonderful pillows and the meaningful messages tucked here and there, which express your philosophy..."Cheerfulness brings harmony," etc. Thank you so much for sharing your home. I will be back as time allows to continue the tour.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful beautiful home! Your little fur people are so sweet! I can tell how comfortable and loved they feel!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to start my day! A cup of coffee and a tour of your charming home before I head off to work.
ReplyDeleteYour guest room makes me smile.
I am not sure what I love most, your guest room, your dining room display of ironstone or your mantle shelf with all of the moody paintings. Your home is so full of lovely things without being cluttered, a true home!
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Laura
Becky, I am in awe of your beautiful home - your decorating skills are inspiring and I want to come visit you so I can wake Dughall up!!

You can see the love and pride you have for your home everywhere... I really love seeing the precious fur babies all cozy in their favorite spot. No home would be complete without them.

Your home is so pretty and just looks so cozy. I love how you decorated every corner. I think a home should be loved in every crack and crannie and I am in love with your dogs! Happy Mother's Day to you too! Thank you for the early gift!! Val
I am new to your blog, as I was searching online for cottage decorating ideas...I have no doubt I will become a follower of your blog after taking a look around. Your home is gorgeous and all of the little touches you've added that make it reflective of you and your family, including your four-legged friends, are lovely. Thank you so much for sharing. My husband and I are in the process of redecorating our own home, turning it into a cottage by the sea with a beach/nautical theme, as we live on the coast in Connecticut. I was curious to know where you purchased your ironstone pottery? Is it hard to come by? Thanks again for sharing your home with us!
ReplyDeleteBecky, I always love taking a tour of your sweet cottage... It's dreamy! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful weekend and Mother's Day!
~Liz
Your home is lovely and your pups are precious. The guest room is so colorful and looks so comfy and cozy. Wishing you a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother's Day. Tammy

ReplyDeleteThe home tour was so awesome! I sat for what seems like hours looking at all the amazing homes. Becky, yours had to me my favorite!!! Not just saying it because you are my favorite blogger but your home is wonderful. I look at mine and it is.... let's say full of collections. My husband says clutter. I love my clutter though. Your home is just wonderful and makes me what to de-clutter. lol. Love it and thanks for sharing.

First off I think it's so fun that Duhgall has a "man cave"!
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful home. The guest bedroom is my favorite room. Really love those curtains and all those cute pillows.
Manuela
What a beautiful home! Thanks for sharing such wonderful pictures. I especially love the little Scotties sprinkled throughout as they remind me of my own two Scotties, Scamp and Mitty.
ReplyDeleteTammy
Thank you for inviting us into your beautiful and warm home! I so enjoyed my time there! ♥
ReplyDeleteHi Becky
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful home you have! I have seen parts of it over the years of reading your blog, but I didn't know how beautiful it was.
Thanks for giving us a tour.
Hugs, Rhondi
thanks fro sharing and give us a grand tour to your lovely home.. i really enjoyed it..
ReplyDeleteBecky, I can't find the words I want to describe the feeling your home gives me. I would say it screams home, but scream is too harsh. It beckons--yes that's it--it beckons me, welcomes me in like a best friend. The charm you have created in each and every space says family, welcome, charm, warmth, friendship. The only thing lacking is that I'm can't experience it in person. Thank you for your beautiful presentation for all of us to enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Laura
Your home speaks to me of peace and serenity. It has a warm cozy feel. Love it. I am clueless about this home tour. I'm so glad that I stopped by now I'm headed for house #1 to begin the tour.
ReplyDelete~ ~Ahrisha~ ~
Becky, thank you for the tour of your amazing cottage home. It is incredible...every single room filled with many gorgeous antiques and vintage treasures...oh I could spend hours looking through it all....and of course I absolutely love your Scottie collection - made me smile to see the planters just like the ones I collect. My favorite picture of all? The last one of your sweet pups running on the beach - just priceless!
ReplyDeleteI'm so late for this tour but enjoyed every moment of your beautiful home. I felt like I could just sit anywhere and feel at home. Then I came to the guest room and wanted to immediately go and pack a bag to come for a visit. So welcoming and cheery!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your home.
Joyce
Just found youe wonderful blog after seeing a photo on pinterest of your clock display. Your home is so warm and inviting, and so beautifully decorated. You are such an inspiration.
