….and dogs should be on sofas!
Well, that is the what my dear friend, Wave, says. She made the wonderful little stitched piece for me and I just could not agree with it more – and neither could Duhgall and Fiona – hence this is why we do not have light colored furniture.
Ok, Fiona….
you can sit on the couch, but laying on the laundry pile will just have to stop. I know….who can resist that sweet look?
Definitely can't resist the very cute look. I think about that phrase when I use the afghan my mother knit me thirty years ago and think I should be "saving" it. How silly...things are meant to be used and houses should definitely be lived in.
ReplyDeleteSweetest stitching I have ever seen!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. That is the cutest picture. Love the framing too. Today is our Abe's 2nd birthday. (Get it? Abe Lincoln's too....!!) Ha. I wonder at myself sometime that I can remember my dog's birthdays!!!! I have no doubt you understand. Have a nice Valentine's day. Lori L
ReplyDeleteOh Fiona do we like that!
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Too cute!!
ReplyDeleteYes, I so agree...dogs should be on sofas. My little Chloe is laying beside me on the sofa right now!!
~Cindy~
...and my puppy Pearl loves it when the towels have just come out of the dryer...cozy & warm!
ReplyDeleteOur dog is always on the sofa!! And the bed! And the chairs!!!
ReplyDeleteSoooo adorable! That is just exactly the philosophy here at Mimi's Cottage.
ReplyDeleteOh I love Fiona's picture today! And my your handmade Scottie collection as well as the fabulous black Wade Scottie is wonderful!! *sigh*. I've been antiquing recently and continue to add to my vintage Scottie planter collection - I think I am going in to doubles of the same colors, but I just can't resist them. I found a sweet little plaque with two Scotties and a poem on it...I plan to give this to my 8 year old son on Valentine's Day. :-)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with that sentiment! The picture is just lovely.
ReplyDeleteI agree 100 percent... on couches, beds, baskets.
ReplyDeleteAfter all we may be pet owners but who really owns who?
Darling photo.
Susan
Very sweet embroidery, Becky :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that! I want one.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little stitching....very pretty....blessings on this Lord's day...Shelley
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. That is adorable!
ReplyDeleteFiona is such a cutie!
ReplyDeleteAnd the doggies agree with Wave...
ReplyDeleteLove the handwork piece. Hugs, S
That is so adorable!! And I totally agree with the sentiment -- dogs should be on the sofa. Or in the bed. Or under our feet when we try to walk because it just wouldn't be a normal day in my house if I didn't trip over at least one dog!
ReplyDeleteI have to tell you, every time I'm out shopping and I see something with Scotties on it, I think of you and your blog! I love seeing all of the pics of Mr. Duhgall and Fiona.
Awe....cute! Both the stitched piece and Fiona!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Penny
Now Becky Fiona is just wanting you to teach her to fold clothes.
ReplyDeleteLove the stitched piece. Sooo cute!!

ReplyDeleteOurs are on the couch snuggling with hubby every evening!!

That picture is precious. And true as I look around my living room and one of the two dogs is in a chair. Let's not forget the cats. That picture would put a smile on a pet lover's face!

Becky excuse me for commenting twice, but who could resist those
ReplyDeleteeyes on that sweet Fiona. I had to
come back and look again. Give her
a smooch for me.
What a sweet gift and oh so true! But we don't have a sofa; Max does and he is generous to share it with us ;0)
ReplyDeleteBecky, Fiona looks so adorable sitting on the laundry. Our little dog, Holly, loves to do the same thing. And the stitched picture is precious! What a beautiful gift from your sweet friend! Love & blessings from NC!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful gift! AND what a cute puppy! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day, Becky.
ReplyDeleteYou are dear to me!
That little piece of embroidery is adorable! Mele thinks we should have one in our home...lol
I told her she could come on here and look at yours.
Shhhhh..I think she is a little jealous!
Oh how very sweet. That is a wonderful piece from Wave. Adorable photo of Fiona too. I agree with allowing on the furniture! The bigger the pile the better.
ReplyDeleteHi Becky,
ReplyDeleteLove the embroidery very much! its so full of whimsy.
Happy Valentines Day,enjoy your day of love, hugs and snuggles..
Have a sweet day, XO Elizabeth
You got it all wrong mom! Auntie Waveney made that moto for Doogs and moi! he he
ReplyDeleteThat's adorable ~ and Bentley agrees!!! Happy Valentine's Day to you!!!
ReplyDeleteLots of love,

A lovely post! It makes you wonder what our little treasure do when we are out of the house! There is nothing like a doggy snuggled up to you on the sofa, sheer bliss!!
ReplyDeleteI believe it's a privilege to spoil the ones we love... be it 2 legged or 4 legged! Very cute embroidery!
ReplyDeleteFi, come on over - you can lie on our laundry pile anytime!!
ReplyDeleteWow, now I gotta get one of those!!! I totally agree, houses should be lived in, you can always always tell the difference between a house and a home, especially when there a dogs in the home. We have 3 dogs (mom, dad and son) the 3 of them together aren't big enough to make up a big one, and they all have their spots on the sofas.
ReplyDeleteLovc it! What an adorable picture and I couldn't agree more with the sentiment!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable gift.... I LOVE handmade things.... and to gave something with your little cuties is just the icing on the cake, isn't it? AWESOME....
ReplyDeleteSending belated Valentine's Day huggies!
xoxo
