Rollin’ Along

croquet balls

Rollin’ in to see what y’all are up to. So how are YOU?

How is the weather in YOUR neck of the woods?

We had a reprieve from the fog and it actually felt a little spring-like.

Anyone up for a game of croquet?

….back to cleaning…..just came up for air!

  1. Hi Sweet friend. I haven't been here for awhile, but it isn't because I haven't thought of you. I have. Many times during this season.
Our weather here is the usual Southern California weather but...it was cool and overcast all day today. My daughter lives in Santa Cruz and with all the earthquakes lately I hate being so far from her.
Fiona has grown so much during this past year. It's amazing! :)
    Cutest dogs ever!
    Hugs and love to you..

  2. Hi Becky,
I just stayed home and cleaned today as well .. It was a gloomy, rainy morning, but, about noon, the sun broke through, and it was simply gorgeous, and warm .. made me go outside to garden a bit, and play in the warmth of the sun .. What a glorious Cali. day, that's for sure .. Blessings and LoVe to you sweet friend ~

  3. It looks like you enjoy the game. There is still snow on the ground here but I can wish for a fun day to play.

  4. I think we are actually going to get near 50 tomorrow after days and days of 20s and 30s. I could barely get myself out to walk the doggies at night, and skipped a couple where the wind chill went down to single digits... Brrrrrr.
Nifty croquet balls. When I played this game as a child at 12 I knocked half of my front tooth out when I was aiming and brought the handle too high....soooooo....not too fond of the game...lol! been rearranging my Living Room. :-)

  5. I don't know what the temp was Tuesday but the sunset was amazing.

We used to play croquet all the time when I was a little girl. I have an old mallet that I added cup hooks to. It's a great place to hang little things!

    Happy cleaning!!

  7. Hi Becky,

I love croquet balls and am always searching them out at flea markets.

Our weather is warming up today - it was 18 degrees Fahrenheit when I got up this morning - HEAT WAVE!!

  8. I just brought 6 huge bags full of stuff to the local resale shop. It's so nice to get things organized. It never ends, though! As soon as one spot looks great, I find another I need to work on! (It doesn't help that my spouse/children don't have the desire to keep it all organized, either!!!) Chicagoland is a little warmer - above freezing! It feels so much nicer. Lots of snow and ice still. Lots of slush, too! XO, Ann

  10. Good Morning Becky! I love your vintage croquet balls. I have a decorating book from Kitty Bartholemew and she had a bowl of vintage bocci balls on her coffee table. I loved the look so much, I have been searching for them. Now I know I can look for croquet balls too! Thanks for the inspiration.

p.s. I will be emailing you today...

  11. Rain, rain and more rain. Just when I think that the ground can't absorb another drop we get hours more rain - but I'll never complain because we don't have to shovel it!

  12. Have not played croquet since I was a child. I have seen the croquet balls in collector shops though and think they make great decorative items.

  13. Well, I was all set to stay in due to the rain. And then suddenly the clouds parted and the rain stopped and there is SUNSHINE! I have nothing whatsoever planned today. My very favorite kind of day.

  16. Hi Becky~ We had a very sunshiny
day and temps to 59 degrees. We
so deserve it because we had very
cold 17 degrees low and 36 highs.
Not right for Louisiana and me.
Hubby says I have ice water for
blood,I stay cold all the time.
I have a croquet set from the 50's
that a friend of mine gave me. I
    love it and the grandchildren
play every once in a while. I like
the idea of putting the balls on
the coffee table. Grand kids may
have to look for the balls next
time they go to play. LOL.:O)

  18. Becky, I love your blog! It's just so sweet. I met you last fall at the sale you had in Turlock; I'm the one who called my daughter and got her out of bed to come see what goodies you ladies had! I now have my own little blog, not as lovely as yours, but I'm a work in progress. Thanks for sharing your beautiful blog! Marcia
