Decking The Halls & Walls....

...with sweet handmade goodies from my friends. These adorable and very fragrant stocking ornaments are a gift from my fellow seamstress friend, Amy Kozma. She surprised me with these cutie pies and I LOVE them! Thank you, Amy!! If you don't know Amy, you can find her photo here on Lisa's blog and also her darling handmade treasures on her ebay and ETSY.

Now meet "the other Becky". Yup! Another one in our home! (Sorry honey...I know one is enough but I swear this one won't talk back - tee hee).

You know when you see something and you "have to have it"? Miss Kathy made this charming little angel and (LOL!) named her Becky. I should be spending my money on others right now, however this one needed to come and live at our home. Kathy makes the sweetest hearts, birds and now dolls that will put a huge smile on your face!!

Little details are her ruby chocker and the sweet ivy wreath with a vintage Poinsettia earring clipped to it - and don't forget that she is RED!

For quite awhile I have also been bird watching on Kathy's ETSY and it seemed
that I didn't quite work fast enough in catching one her birds so I asked if she would do a special order and this is my "snowbird". She is perfect on my all white Christmas tree. See the little ice-skate above? Kathy made that one, too. I just love getting handmade things that other friends have created. They are so special to me and I will most certainly remember them each time they make it out for Christmas time.

Other decorations that make it out each year are these little seltzer bird nests that I made many years back. Just take some seltzer and form it into a nest and lay it on a sturdy branch on your tree. I added some faux birdie friends and tiny plastic eggs to the nests.

I also like attaching the faux birds to the ends of branches. These fellas have wire by their feet and easily twist on. (note: sometimes they like to play around and I will find them hanging upside down!)

Little houses and hearts....

..go nicely with the cottage and garden style tree.

More to come soon...

ta-ta!!

  9. Oh Becky! Your tree is gorgeous! I love that little bird Kathy created for you.
I can't wait to see your place mats made from an old tablecloth. Be sure to let me know when they're done. It's a great way to use a tablecloth that has some stains and holes in it and much cheaper than new fabric!
