Relief - But Not Out Of The Woods Just Yet...

My little Doogs is not afraid of heights...he is peering over the edge at the observatory...down below is a smoggy view overlooking the Bay Area - San Jose is down there somewhere...Susie, where are you?
Kitty misses playing with her buddy when he is not feeling good. He is giving her kisses - can you tell that she is actually liking this?
"Ok, who is going to make the first move?!" A stand-off ... Doogs is saying, "I am the alpha pet here!!" See how is tail is in the "jump" mode?
Here is Doogs all decked out in his Scottish Tartan scarf at the Highland Games. He got lots of attention that day! Below he is loving life and chasing the ball at the park.
Last night, as I was making Penny's Fabulous Chicken Dish, we got a phone call from our sweet Vet. She called to give us the good news that the biopsy for our sweet Doogie came back negative!!! Praise be to God!!! This ruled out that he has an auto-immune disease, which can be very dangerous for our pets. What he does have, which we are treating him for, are allergies. We thought we had been doing everything right by cooking whole foods and giving him his allergy pill. So, the next step that we decided to pursue is that of finding out exactly what it is that this little furry face is allergic to. It is similar to testing us two legged creatures for allergies. Ooooo, ouch!

Each one of you have been extremely kind and so sincere and sweet with your comments, prayers, good wishes and overall affection for my little guy. Do you find yourself sitting alone at your computer and giggling, ooowing and awwing out loud and darn right crying? Well, truth is, that has been me. My heart is touched by all of you! You know, there are so many good people in this world and I thank you from my heart for taking time from your busy day to visit and comment. You all are amazing people - just amazing - sigh!

Please check back soon as I am going to have a gratitude giveaway - be it an early Christmas giveaway...maybe not so early because I know some of you are already a step ahead of me...

Have a wonderful week, and take a little time in the day to appreciate our world and the beauty that is all around us. xx00 and a thousand :)'s
-- Becky and Doogie
PS: I put my favorite Martina song as the second song. It is so uncanny how it is like my life...how many of you can relate? If you have never heard it, listen to the words. This is for all of you GIRLS (women) who are AWESOME - YOU ROCK!!!!

  4. Oh I am so relieved to hear that the growth is benign. First I'm going to cry, then I'm going to hug my Scotties since I can't hug Doogs, then we're going to play and laugh in celebration. I'll be praying that you find just the right solution/relief for his allergies.

How brave he is to look out from the observatory. I'm trying to figure out where this is. Can you see north of SF from here? If so, you'll see me waving!

  9. Glad to hear your gorgeous pooch is not seriously ill. Our vizsla used to get allergic reactions when he was a pup, but seems to have grown out of it. We never got him tested to see what it was - a good idea if it's an ongoing problem. Hope you will find out what it is:)
I love the photos with him & your kitty! Have a great week!

  38. Becky, hope you are having a nice week. I have to tell you a story about the Carpenter's song you have playing. When my husband and I were dating and after we got married we would go hiking and a lot of times we would end up at the top of a hill, rock, what have you, and whenever that happened I would burst into this song. Hubby would always crack up and shake his head. I'm sure he was wondering why he married such a kook! ha ha Just wanted to thank you for the fun memories.

    Love,
    Lisa

  50. Horray about Doogs. I have got to get a subscription or reader or something so I am not always the last one to find out everything! This is getting ridiculous, I want to be the first to know, not the last!

Sweet Doogs, so happy he will be OK. Sorry about the allergies though! He looks so smart in his scarf! Winston loves to wear scarves too.

Ok, well, I am definitely going to be more on top of things so I don't miss your giveaway. You are such a popular girl these days I could be out of the running before I even get here!

PS. Thanks for your rat story, hilarious! Hubby says it was just a mouse sized dropping, but it looked HUGE to me!

One of my GSD started sneezing so hard one day, he was banging his nose on the floor! On the way to the vet, I realized that I had just changed his food. I discovered I had switched him from a corn based kibble to wheat. I hope it's something as simple as that...
