Decorating With Eye Candy!
Ok ladies, this isn't about decorating...well, in today's standards. Before I start, let me remind you that I am 46 years old (no "ahhh geeeeeezzz" from you younger gals!!) Do you recall hanging posters in your room of the gorgeous hunks of the time? How many Donny Osmond posters did any of you have? David Cassidy? If you hung posters in your room, you were either "decorating" or just had a barking mad crush on a teen idol. I also grew up watching great shows like Starsky and Hutch, The Brady Bunch, One Adam Twelve, Gunsmoke, Hee Haw and a bunch of old "classics." However, the show that I HAD to watch every week was Magnum PI. Not only were the episodes entertaining, but Mr. Tom Selleck was just, well how do I say it...HOT! (Yes, my honey knows that I adore Mr. S. and my last dying wish would be to meet him!) I guess it had to be his shorts and Hawaiian shirts and let's not forget the Ferrari! Vrrrrmmmmmm....not the car, my heart!!!!! Tom is just as handsome today and just as sweet! You go guy!
BECKY!!!!!!! Tom is my LOVER BOY! lol! He is my All time favorite! I wouldn't ever miss his show! And doesn't he look good as a COWBOY! He looks so good on a horse! When my daughter was little she always heard me call Tom as my "lover boy" ... she told our next door neighbors that Tom was my "lover boy" they all just died laughing..she couldn't figure out why they were laughing...It was always..Tom this, Tom that...He is the best looking thing on earth! I've had dreams about him! Thanks for sharing your pictures of Tom! I just hated when he got married..I felt he cheated on me! lol!
ReplyDeleteLaughing here in my chair! He is a hunk-a-dunk and yummy with a spoon drop dead gorgeous! I love the fact that he is also one of a few Hollywood folks who is a conservative! Gotta l-o-v-e that, too! A friend of my little brother, Lisa, was modeling here locally and got to be an extra in Shadow Riders. On the set Tom overheard she and a friend talking about a trip to Hawaii. They got to stay in his condo, were taken to the set and out to dinner. Apparently she even spilled red wine of Tom's white linen suit and he laughed. Now how many guys would just laugh? I was so jealous of her, but glad she experienced him. He does look good in Cowboy regalia!! yee haw!!
ReplyDeleteDonny Osmond was my guy...I remember at the age of 9 I yelled and proclaimed at the top of my lungs in my parents front yard that "I LOVE DONNY OSMOND".....LOL
ReplyDeleteTo this day I still think he is cute!!!
Hugs and Love, Amy (Mom to the Four Sisters)
Add me to the Tom Selleck fan club. I am a teacher, and I used to have a huge poster on my wall, plus I cut up two or three calendars through the years that featured him.... and all those photos were all over my wall at school. Looking back, I'm thinking it wasn't very professional, but.... hey, it was Tom, and I was young... I so relate!
ReplyDeleteHi Becky, found your blog from our sweet friend Amy!
ReplyDeleteOh, David Cassidy was it for me. I loooooooooved him. I used to buy those "TigerBeat" magazines that had his pic on the front. .....swoon......
:)
Oh my goodness. Be still my heart! You aren't the only one who liked Tom Selleck. My daughter is 23. You should go visit her site and read about her love for older men. http://mybestfriendcallsmemartha.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! We recently had a free trial of the mystery chanel (I think that's what it was called)and got to watch Magnum several times in an evening. I had forgotten how much I loved that show! My husband liked it too so I didn't have to worry about any jealous thing. Ok, so the other one I always had to see was CHIPS. And Shawn Cassidy... yep, him too! Thanks for sharing in the hunks of our decade club!
ReplyDeleteHi Ladies!!! I guess our memories of these fellas keep our hearts young and still beating! Loved Tiger Beat, Seventeen...all of it. My Nanny used to buy me anything that had Ringo Starr on the cover..go figure! That goes wayyy back now! Glad to have brought back some fond memories. Sigh......Chips was great, however my dad was a real live Chippy and none of his friends looked much like Erik Estrada!! ha ha
